  1. FOX is capitalizing the D in d'Arnaud's name in their graphics.
  2. GiDP ball = run scores from 1st
  3. Frayed Knot wrote: Uh Oh, keadoff runner on, aka: we're fucked Actually got two balls out of the infield in that inning. Sure, they were both lazy ass fly balls that the RF's Aunt Tilly could have caught, but it's better than lazy ass infield pop ups.
  4. Uh Oh, keadoff runner on, aka: we're fucked
  5. Two hits thru six innings, aka: an improvement
  6. Kevin Pillar can drive in two out runs. Lindor ... not so much. Now 2-fer-38 in this series w/RiSP
  7. Mets have the leadoff hitter on on 12 of the 20 innings so far in this series. Not a single one of them has scored. oe: Now 13 of 21
  8. Leadoff hitter on, take two: K, K, K Now 0/3 w/RiSP
  9. Leadoff batter on, no subsequent ball leaves the infield, oh-fer-two w/RiSP ... the planet remains in line.

  11. So that first one was sure fun, let's do it all over again in, say, about two hours.
  12. FUCK! I just finished putting down next month's rent on the 36 inning series shut out with Points Bet
  13. Our second extra base hit in 16 innings means it's time to play: What Do You Do With Your RISP ABs? In this inning our contestants are - Weak Ass IF Pop Out - Weak Ass IF Grounder and - Unassisted Put Out So the streak of stranding runners with zero success grows to 16 consecutive innings as does the stench of utter fucking futility. Thanks for playing. We'll be back again with a new round real soon. Maybe against a pitcher just called up from Junior High School just to make it interesting.
  14. Oh good, yet ANOTHER pop up with tons of hang time finds some grass.
  15. Do you think that maybe walking a 35 HR Righty batter after you had him 0-2 so you could face a 40 (now 41) HR Lefty with an extra runner on base was perhaps not the wisest strategy? Braves have now scored 15 runs in 15 innings with 'only' 2 HRs. That's usually their total for the top of the 1st The cumulative score in this series could quite possibly wind up in the 45 or 50 to nothing range.
  16. Post-draft, post-trading deadline prospect revisions at mlb.com #40 Luisangel Acuna - 2B/SS #57 Drew Gilbert - OF #84 Jett Williams SS/OF #93 Ronny Mauricio 2B/OF/SS #96 Kevin Parada C And it appears if you want your kid to be in line for future success in baseball, it helps tremendously if you name him Jackson #1 Jackson Holliday - SS, O's #2 Jackson Chourio - OF, Brewers #3 Paul Skenes - RHP Pirates #4 Dylan Crews - OF Nationals #5 Ethan Salas - C Padres #6 Junior Caminero - 3B/SS Rays #7 James Wood - OF Nationals #8 Evan Carter - OF, Rangers #9 Jackson Merrill - SS Padres #10 Jordon Lawlar - SS Diamondbacks Oh yeah, and Pete Crow-Arnstrong - #12
  17. The Braves have now scored 12 runs in 14 innings across two games, the majority of them after two were out. The Mets have left 19 runners stranded on base in 13 innings ... and of course scored no runs.
  18. =roger_that post_id=134687 time=1691865192 user_id=128] OTOH, the Mets are hitless through 4. As I type that, Vogie gets a scratch single.
  19. Why do people play sports with jewelry on? I can't for the life of me understand that.
  20. This could be the single worst OF in the history of MLB The Braves have 5 runs in 4 innings and have hit virtually nothing hard ... which is more or less what they did last night too.
  21. Ooooh look, more pop-ups, Ks, and balls not leaving the infield. But at least the defense is making up for it by allowing catchable balls to fall in for hits on a regular basis.
  22. The only reason the Mets left three on in the 1st is that it's not possible to leave four on.
  23. That's my other limitation with IG: I never collected baseball cards or baseball magazines, and I don't play fantasy.
  24. Amazing how you can give up 7 runs (6 earned) in 9 innings and yet have the pitching not be the worst part of their showing tonight. The offensive display was much worse than the pitchers and I'm not even sure that the defense wasn't also worse.
