Well, one walk and four singles, three of which haven't left the IF and all should have been outs even though no errors. Not hanging this one on Manaea ... at least not yet.

Marlins DFA Tim Anderson. That's been quite a fall. 2019: leads league in hitting (.335). 865 OPS/128OPS+ 2020: 7th MVP, Silver Slugger. 886/140 2021: 806/118, All-Star. 2022: 734/109, All-Star. Falling, but not yet bad. 2023: 582/61 (524 PAs) 2024: .214/.237/.226, That's a result of going 50 for 234; 47 singles/3 doubles. 7 Walks/68 Ks He just turned 31 last week. Hard to fathom.

7/1 After being gifted two unearned runs to take the lead in the 6th, a misplay of our own gives back the tying run in the 8th In top 10, a ghost-runner-HBP-3R HR starts out the inning and then three more seemingly unnecessary runs get tacked on for a six run lead. And after all that WE STILL wound up facing one AB with the tying run at the plate followed by one where the tying runs were on and the winning run was at bat!! I didn't think there was any such thing as Dark Brandon. He was on the bench by the middle/late part of the game although was said to be not available. He underwent a "whole battery of tests" at the hospital, as he did a few weeks ago after getting hit by a pitch on the C-flap part of his helmet resulted in a subsequent slump. Any concussion after-effects were ruled out in that case. No word yet on how they'll proceed here. The team flies to Pittsburgh following Thursday morning's game and ... OMG, they're not going to put him on a plane are they?!?!?!?!
