    While he's not wrong, is this helpful? He can "discuss" this with Sandy and Zack but publicly berating his employees can't be productive. Many of us woke up, saw the score, and were pissed. We might have written a negative comment on a message board or social media but we don't own the team.

    If Stroman was going to be taken out because he threw a season-high 100 or so pitches then is it a good idea to bring him back to start the next inning, throw more warmups, and then face one right-handed batter so Loup doesn't have to come in until a lefty is up? That one extra batter hit a HR which was the difference in the game. If he's tired he's tired so take him out when you want to take him out.

    Luis continues to manage with no sense of urgency. LAD made an error giving the Mets 2 extra outs and he gave one out back. He'll probably say that wanted Carlos to build up his pitch count but this game counts. I shut it off for a bit after that... I gave Luis an excuse. Now he'll say "short bench" but screw that.

    The Mets could have started that inning with runners at 1st, 2d and 3d and still not scored. They are a terrible hitting team but that's nothing you don't know.

    The good news is that we're another day closer to the end of McCann's contract.

    The visiting team scored one run in the top of the 10th. We're supposed to be sated with that result but with the way the Mets have been hitting it doesn't feel that way.
