  1. 1965's cover is one of the best. In 1965, placing a drawing on top of a picture wasn't easy. I hope that there is no one here who will ask "the most what?".
  2. Remember Carlos Torres? WSH called him up today and DFA'd A.J. Cole (who might look good in a 51s uni).
  3. Statcast of Yo's Slam here: https://www.mlb.com/mets/video/statcast-yo-climbs-the-ladder/c-1952431783?tid=240568594
  4. I'm waiting to hear what Sylvia's Mother says.
  5. Zvon wrote: How did Yo turn on that pitch and PULL IT OUT?!?!? Amazin'! Per this tweet, that HR was unprecedented for Yo: [tweet] [/tweet]
  6. Frayed Knot wrote: C'mon Ces, Grandy hit a GS today and he's 57 years old. Yo to FK: "you got it, buddy".
  7. Biggest hit of the season, my biggest yell of the season.
  8. Edgy MD wrote: bmfc1 wrote: Fucking Matz. Way to pick up the team, you overrated piece of shit. I don't care where you're from, you suck. Send him to Binghamton and activate Vargas or Vance Worley. You have faith in Worley? Not really but he didn't give up 3 in the 1st tonight.

  10. [tweet:2qpw0drm] [/tweet:2qpw0drm] I'm no Benjamin Grimm but those are 3 great covers!
  11. Ashie62 wrote: 'Oh Wilmer, you came and we left without crying..." And you sent that ball away...
  12. Not that I'm scoreboard watching in April but yeah... Ian Desmond with a 9th inning go-ahead solo homerun off number 42 and COL takes 3 of 4 from WSH (the last 2 without Nolan Arenado).
  13. Mets win on a Sunday and a game that they played badly. Maybe...
  14. Edgy MD wrote: Oh, Bandy is still in the game. Was this a "Oh Mandy" reference? I hope so!
  15. Perhaps he would have if he hadn't let a meatball go by at 3 and 0.
  16. I wonder if Adrian Gonzalez would have caught Rosario's throw. Regardless, Rosario has to make a better throw.
  17. Edgy MD wrote: Somebody let Reyes know the season has started. Apparently, he's a good clubhouse presence so make him another coach and get someone in there who can play ball. The Brewers have gone from a team that I am indifferent about to a team that should lose every single game and their fans can go have intercourse with themselves.
  18. For some of us, note that the game is now part of MLBN's regional coverage this afternoon.
  19. Good webpage with links to all Mets affiliates. https://www.mlb.com/mets/prospects/stats/affiliates Matt den Dekker pitched a scoreless inning last night.
  20. I keep thinking about Todd Frazier's tagging up and taking third base on a fly ball to LF. If he didn't, no one would have noticed but he did and it got the Mets a run. Contrast that with Bryce Harper's failure to take third in extras on Sunday and it cost WSH the game.
  21. Does Yo sit tonight? He was 0 for 5 yesterday, isn't a fan of the cold, and it would allow Nimmo, Conforto and Bruce to play (RHP for WSH). ANSWER: WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Lefty Specialist wrote: The Mets have a tendency to save their most dreadful performances for the national audience in prime time on ESPN. Plus, it's Sunday. But these are Mickey's Mets so the past isn't necessarily prologue!

I had the Nats radio feed on XM while I was driving around. They suck! They were already touting Bryce Harper as a sure thing HoF'er. Uh, please. Charlie Slowes is a Fordham guy but he dumbs down for his audience. The locals couldn't handle criticism, Yiddish or Seinfeld references.

  25. Molina acts as if he never hit a HR before. If Jose did that, the Mets would be called "unprofessional". F Molina and F SNY for the continuous BJs of that human sack of shit. #realtalk
