    Y. Molina is catching all 4 games (as Gary noted) but McNeil (and Frazier, Rosario, Ramos) can't play the day after a night game. I can live with the last 3 but McNeil should be there 162 games in a row.

    From one of the "Shea Anything" pods, Martino said that there were three acquisitions based on the recommendation of the new analytics team: JD Davis, Walter Lockett, and Hector Santiago. One has worked out, one has been injured and the other did not work out.

    How was the Chernobyl documentary? "Chernobyl" is amazing and worth seeing despite the horror and bleakness. Like the Mets, there are arrogant people in charge who think that they know better than everybody else when they really are ignorant and have no business having such responsibility. At least with the Mets, no one gets killed.

    Suspended game until tomorrow at 6:10. Diaz is paid millions to get three outs and he allows this shit show. F him and F Brodie.

    Will the US Women's team outscore the Mets for both games combined or just one?

    Rosario, Frazier, Davis--not that Wheeler is without blame but those are 3 plays that should have been made. For all of the alleged smart people in the Mets FO they don't seem to emphasize defense.

    Mark Simon has a new article in The Athletic on the Top 10 Defensive Infields. It will not surprise you to learn that the Mets are not on the list (Dodgers #1).

    That was another awful AB by Lagares. Nimmo will be back soon and with the rise of Gomez, BVW is going to have to think long and hard about Lagares' future despite the contract.

    Thanks seawolf17--I questioned my ability to count to 40 (so why don't they have someone else there? and why is Rahme there?).

    Guillorme--not very inspiring but I looked at the 40-man and there is no other hitter who is not injured. None. I'd rather have a 3rd catcher so they can pinch-run for Ramos AND pinch-hit for Nido or a power bat. All of these injured players are on the 40-man: L. Avilan 10-day DL R. Cano 10-day DL B. Nimmo 10-day DL J. Wilson 10-day DL 25 active, those 4, plus Guillorme equals 30 + Bashlor, Flexen, Hanhold, Kilome, Lockett, O'Rourke, Oswalt, Rhame, Zamora = 39 (so who is the 40th?) Guillorme is the only non-pitcher who is healthy that they could have called up for the 2d game.

    They can add a dude for a split doubleheader so who will it be? I'd say a third catcher (so they can pinch run for Ramos) but there aren't any other catchers on the 40-man.

    Good job by the MFYs not doing this earlier but you gotta get that parking dough. Both teams are off on Wednesday but there's another event (a graduation?) at NMFYS that day.

    If Mona Lisa doesn't just win this round and then make it to the semis (at least), I'm tearing this place apart! (I just watched John Wick so I'm a little revved up.)

    Chapman threw 22 pitches in the 9th so hopefully he needs a rest tomorrow. Mickey has to decide if it's McNeil at 2B and JD Davis in LF or Hech at 2B and McNeil in CF.
