  1. This is fantastic. Congratulations to her!
  2. Zac Gallen is tough but so is Peterson. Let's hope that any momentum from Lindor and McCann's decent Thursday helps them tonight.
  3. Given how he was the best player in the game for a substantial length of time, it's stunning how he became so irrelevant so quickly, and then stayed that way for years, that you almost forgot he was still playing. I guess you can make a similar statement about Miguel Cabrera. Both would have retired a long time ago if not for the length of their deals. Great point. Anaheim is like the Middle Place from the show "The Good Place".
  4. Sure. Whatever. I said that it's part of things and to me, the perception of a televised mid-game chat mid-field is worse than an NBA timeout which is not televised as that leads to a commercial break. The point was that MLB allowed the interpreter visit not to count as a "mound visit" so it didn't feel like my argument was "winning" as MLB allowed for another loophole to drag out their absurdly long games. But when you say "But I don't get the idea that MLB executives know what's good in a baseball game or what's bad" we are in total agreement.
  5. I understand your perspective but don't agree with you. The next time Steve Nash calls a timeout and walks onto the middle of the court, DM me. The only time a coach should be allowed to go to the mound is to replace the pitcher. It's one of many reasons why games are so damn long. And there are too many timeouts in basketball, both pro and college, too, but at least those games last only 2:30 no matter how hard they try.
  6. Sandy's offseason so far: May--YAY! Everyone else--ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME? I should have included Walker and Pillar in the "YAY" column. I apologize to Taijuan and Kevin, as well as their families.
  7. Edgy MD wrote: Well, honestly, business meetings in the middle of the field happen 90 times per game in football. I don't mind mound conferences. It's certainly kind of bullshit when they are used as a stalling tactic, but I think MLB is attacking the wrong thing there. Those are between the players and are timed more carefully, under penalty, than in baseball. Only in baseball can a coach stop everything and walk onto the field to hold a meeting. Plus, they aren't stopping the game as they are in baseball as the clock is often running when the players are in the huddle.
  8. That's 4 out of 6. See what happens when they play every day (or almost)! "What's that? They have two days off next week? Are you frigging kidding me?"
  9. 2 game winning streak! That was only 3:19?
  10. That's it, Mets win. Get on the plane, guys.
  11. See what happens when you make contact?
  12. In seconds from, that's a slam to that's foul to what a play.
  13. =LWFS post_id=63284 time=1620325429 user_id=84] Considering how bad the Mets are-- even given the last week or so-- at getting runners in with less than two out... this holding runners from second on singles business is getting pretty damn frustrating.
  14. https://sny.tv/articles/guess-what-mlb-teams-can-t-play-a-game-under-protest-anymorehttps://sny.tv/articles/guess-what-mlb-teams-can-t-play-a-game-under-protest-anymore Of course, you can't send an interpreter to the mound and have that "not count" as a mound visit. I know that and I'm not paid by MLB. Mound visits should only be allowed to remove a pitcher. No more of this "let's stop the game so everyone can watch us have a meeting in the middle of the playing field" garbage that only is permitted in baseball.
  15. I know that Twitter is a cesspool but some are trashing Jessica McCann's Twitter feed for her husband's failings. It's not her fault! Mets fans should be better than such behavior. If you wanna say he's terrible, say it on a Message Board, like the CPF!

Why didn't TLR, an attorney, know it? And if he didn't then shouldn't someone else on the bench or even in the FO have read what Luis did and told the manager?
  17. It feels like much longer than Sunday since their last win. Nice job in G2.
  18. Have the Mets seen Angel Hernandez since Spring Training?
  19. Frayed Knot wrote: 'bout freakin' time Has anyone from STL explained what took so long? Spite, because he helped the Mets win a Series? His drug use?

  21. Does this get Yamamoto another start?
  22. That was unexpected. (Deletes angry comment.)
  23. The HP ump in G2 gets G1 off even though it's only 7 innings? My God, not only are they bad at their jobs and overpaid but they are lazy, too.
