  1. Two more walks and they'll tie it!
  2. Dammit Nido, use two hands, tag the guy and get out of there.
  3. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gordode01.shtmlhttps://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gordode01.shtml It's been a strange season and the Mets can get some Strange as Dee was Dee F A's by Milwaukee today. I hope that the Acting GM is talking to the Brewers now (if the Mets have anyone left that Milwaukee might want, maybe some of Steve $ will do the trick). From Rotoballer (really): [bLOCKQUOTE]Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Dee Strange-Gordon has been released by the team, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. Strange-Gordon had been signed to a minor league deal earlier in the season, and was slashing .333/.378/.500 with one home run, two steals and 10 runs scored in 10 games at Triple-A. It seems the move was likely made to allow Strange-Gordon to seek playing time elsewhere after Milwaukee traded for shortstop Willy Adames on Friday. If Strange-Gordon can latch on with a team somewhere, he should be able to provide some value with his speed on the basepaths.[/bLOCKQUOTE]
  4. Stony Brook! I was at a Spring game in Jupiter watching the starter warm-up and he came over to where I was standing to greet an old friend. He told him that he didn't know if he was going to make the team so he had to look for a place to live in two places. I thought that must be difficult. Oh, you mean memories of him on the field? I have nothing.
  5. Former Mets on the Mariners' 40-man roster: Justin Dunn Chris Flexen Rafael Montero Paul Sewald Daniel Zamora Eric Campbell Sam Haggerty Jarred Kelenic
  6. They might lose Hager as well if/when Peraza goes on the DL in a day or two (of course Peraza will go on the IL). Given that Hager also plays the OF why him over Tovar?
  7. welcome roger_that! Come for the knowledge, ignore the weird puns, spelling, and thread names. Please let us know the food situation in Jeterville. I was there a few years ago (the game when Murphy homered in the 9th) and was not impressed.
  8. Marshmallowmilkshake is getting his $'s worth.
  9. Can they activate deGrom?
  10. =Centerfield post_id=65122 time=1621654813 user_id=65] Why don't they have to run the pitcher here?
  11. Lee and Johneshwy and we say yippee! (that wasn't great.)
  12. That would have been like Rick Camp.
  13. FOUR teams have scored 10 or more runs tonight (ATL scored 20). It's hard to believe that it's possible watching the Mets.
  14. Remember when Dom Smith was really good?
  15. That was near a level of Luis Castillo stupidity.
  16. =Fman99 post_id=65042 time=1621651774 user_id=86] Christ, what a terrible sequence of ABs there.
  17. Who is Drury? He had a big hit... in 1978 called "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick". I keep throwing that line out to Fwife. Not even a nibble She doesn't get you the way I get you.
  18. He was DFA'd today by SFG so maybe he'll return for a sequel.
  19. Who is Drury? He had a big hit... in 1978 called "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick".
  20. Luis pulled Stroman after a walk when the batter had a half-swing that could have been called a strike. Such a fine line determined his decision, cost the team the lead, and maybe the game.
  21. Edgy MD wrote: Bad call, Luis Rojas. Awful. This is how you lose an emotional player like Stroman. What an absurd piece of overmanaging by the soon to be ex-manager of the Mets.
  22. Willets Point wrote: I swear to god we'd better be laughing about this come September when everyone is healthy and hitting and pitching and the Mets are running away from the division. This lineup isn't up to the normal level of a spring training game in Jupiter... but LFGM!
  23. Gary is absent to Wayne switches to TV which means that Sir Sleepy, Ed Coleman, moves to radio.
