I'm with metsmarathon on this, I can't check fantasy sports from work anymore(sucks) and if AI don't check in before I leave for work I miss some moves, IIRC though yahoo is not updated before 7am each day. 48 hours is fine with me.

Just watched it , I found the whole midwife sticking her nose into Russian mobster business a distraction , very gruesome scenes and one great fight.

They say the SAG awards are a good indicator for the Oscars Daniel Day Lewis won best actor. Julie Christie won best female Javier Bardem - best support Ruby Dee - Best support No Country for Old Men won Best movie even though they don not call it that. I saw Josh Brolin on Charlie Rose recently....what an insufferable twat he is, like hey I'm a serious fucking craftsman now..

Saw this on cable Saturday night, you just knew he would get the damn job didn't you?, otherwise what was the point of the movie. I wouldn't say it was terrible but very predictable which in a way is terrible.

London works great, some of my favorite movie scenes are of the deserted London streets in that movie, stunning. I could be totally wrong here but I think a lot of the movie going folk wouldn't know where Canberra is, which is probably half the point you are making.

San Francisco. 48HRS. The awful 40 Days and 40 Nights was also set in SF.

Got this over the Christmas and started watching it one night, got to the scene where they enter the music shop and started playing "Falling Slowly" when company called round and I turned it off,went back to Blockbuster the next day so I've not seen the rest. Did get the soundtrack, pretty good.

I've heard great things about this movie and after seeing this kid in Superbad I wanted to see this movie. Not sure when I will see it though, probably on DVD.

Saw this movie last night, liked it a lot. Vic had it as one of his best for 2006 last year and I would agree. It's a story of one man who's peaceful tribe gets kidnaped by a savage warrior tribe who wants them for slaves and as sacrifice for their gods, Jaguar Paw had hid his pregnant wife and son and must now escape and make it back to his village to save them. Brutal violence at every turn but also this is beautifully shot with a brilliant chase scene. Gripping from start to finish.

Watched this tonight, liked it a lot and pretty much laughed throughout the whole movie and had several flash back moments.

Liked it , not great but at it's best when dealing with regular Americans that had medical insurance and got screwed by their carrier, thought the stuff in Cuba was very staged, I know plenty of people in Britain that rail against the NHS and the system in Ireland is the same and people complain all the time about it. Having dealt with both systems I would take the system here over what most of the rest of the world has, but I have good insurance so obviously that makes all the difference. Not long after watching the movie Saturday night I was Chanel surfing and came across a HUMANNA TV late night rip off.

Growing up and hearing stories from my Grandfather about the Blank and Tans I might have viewed this movie with a somewhat different eye than you Bucket, of course I am assuming your Grandfather wasn't there. Certainly the story made for a violent and depressing movie, not sure you would want to butter it up differently though. This movie caused huge controversy in Britain and to a lesser extent in Ireland, Ken Loach though has never shied away form controversial topics . I understand in movies like this the freedom fighters often are portrayed in a romantic way , I think Loach avoided this for the most part. Bucket I would be surprised if you got this movie thinking Braveheart.

Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster, have you seen this, watched it Saturday night and it's either pure genius or the most annoying movie I have seen in a while. Half way through I wanted to turn it off but couldn't.
