  12. Mendoza Line wrote: Mickey Rourke did a fine acting job, and Marisa Tomei was OK as the stripper with a heart of gold, but the movie followed a pretty standard formula...washed up guy had it all, loses it all, gets on the road to recovery. If it's a happy ending, he overcomes incredible odds to get it all back and gets the woman in the process. If it's a tragedy, he almost gets it all back, but just barely misses. . perfect summation for me...just watched this tonight. Liked it but wasn't blown away..not that I expected to be.
  13. nutin funnir than dis
  14. Di Caprio was good but the movie itself wasn't that good , that's my memory of it anyway.

  17. From the Times of London is currently developing four films for release over the next two years, Iron Man 2, Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers,
  18. We just watched this on HBO and were laughing like crazy for most of it, got a little repetitive coming towards the home stretch but the final scene had me roaring with delight. Very enjoyable RDJ = WOW
  19. What's with the intentional misspelling of both words? , smug fuck that Tarantino .
  20. Saw this today First baseman Ike Davis is hitting .326 with 10 homers and 29 RBI in his last 37 games
  21. Frayed Knot wrote: Seeing as how the minor league season is virtually over, my guess is 'none'. I suspect he'll see some instructional league time and maybe ride the bench somewhere (GCL?) while they get him ready for next year. rubin agrees Matz will report to the Gulf Coast League, likely on Friday, but hes unlikely to pitch with that team since theres only a couple of weeks left in that season. Play continues in Port St. Lucie after that with the instructional league. This is interesting , from the same article Steve Matz realized he could have a professional baseball career only in the past year, when a growth spurt turned his 5-foot-7, 140-pound frame as a freshman into its current 6-4 and approaching 200 pounds. My body just started getting bigger and everything, said Matz, a lefthander from Ward Melville High School, who grew up a Mets fan in Stony Brook, L.I. Thats when I had my growth spurt. My velocity jumped a little bit. that's crazy
  22. I was wondering when you were going to put your filmography up.
  23. Edgy DC wrote: That would be a long-assed list. maybe three separate polls? overkill? sorry , forget it. I just looked at his work and there is a lot of trash in there , especially after he stopped directing.
  24. I voted Breakfast Club but I feel short changed. We need a more inclusive poll for all his work , director/producer/writer. I could then vote for Some Kind of Wonderful
  25. I just can't watch a movie with Sandler.
