I opened up to sixteen teams this year, looking for a few more players in anyone is interested. I'd go to four (actually, 4 is Yahoo's limit before I have to go to my Ceetarsnose Yahoo account). Who doesn't need more fantasy baseball? cool deal man....if you search "conor's fantasy league" you should find it.....

  3. love my pitching , just that they need to pitch a shutout every night.
  4. Oh , so , you were in the room when I insulted you for being a slow old fucker?

  6. I'm set enough at 1st to not want a deal involving some of my pitchers.....I need bats in the OF....fucks sake if Jose Guillen even with a team?
  7. Worked on the chrome browser, I was in auto draft mode and live draft mode, I think probably rid OK by me. I have pitching and beyond that?

  9. Tuesday night right?
  10. Lorcan's report on this movie "it's silly daddy, it's for babies not for big boys"
  11. Got this on demand a few weeks ago and only got through half of it before the kids were asleep on the couch....2.5

"Where's the beef?" as a catchphrase debuted and peaked in 1984, and it had already jumped the shakr when Walter Mondale used it against Ronald Reagan in 1984. Any college-aged ski-resort partying white dude who'd wear it on a tee-shirt in 1986 would have been one arch ironisst. Candy-colored hairband glam metal lite hadn't yet really asserted itself until 1987. College party dudes would have been rockin' out to U2, Peter Gabriel, and Robert Palmer --- and maybe a little Timbuk 3. If they had a dark side, they were rocking to the Cult, the Cure, and Siouxsie and the Banshiees. Rap had transitioned from DMC's ascendency to the Beastie Boys' Licensed to Ill. If they were stupid party animals, how does that music not make an appearance? Meanwhile --- big error here --- the coming of Kid 'n' Play and the introduction of the oversized stovepipe fade was still two years off. Still enjoyed it more than other eighties flashbacks. I couldn't help but think of this post when I was watching the movie last night.......enjoyed it though , nostalgia for sure.
  13. I was conflating him with Jim Diamond because I was certain I Should Have Known Better was his song.
  14. How satisfied were you when you got to El Fin? this is key, I rememberer being scared shitless when I saw it as a kid. 4 for me

It was a night of hosts and presenters constantly upstaging one another. It was so bad it's hard to imagine it been worse. A few bright spots, David Seidler's acceptance speech was the highlight for me, the kid that won for the short? and thanked his Mom who did the catering on the set, Christian Bale calling out Micky Ward and his brother Dickey, that was about it.
  16. I hope you had some money on with Paddy Power , seriously , I imagine the the odds of picking all of them would be damn good.
  17. You should open a thread in the members promotion forum.
  18. I was 18/19 when it came out , remember liking it a lot , great tunes, I had that Matt Dillon hair back then , shit , I still have it. 4 stars
  19. Worst Oscars ever already, putting Kirk Douglas up there probably seemed cute in the production meeting but it was cruel...on us. Your one that won for best supporting actress probably will want to shoot herself when she she's her speech.

Three stars. You can see the tricks and the Williams-driven ups-and-downs coming a mile away, but they work (as do Goldblum and most of the supporting cast). Jaws it ain't, but it's an effective amusement park ride, still. I wanted to comment on this after some thought , it holds up better than Jaws IMHO , at the time Jaws was a sensation but on a viewing a few years back it was nearly laughable, the effects just don't hold up and the suspense wasn't the same , which is to be expected.

I also never saw any of the sequels (for the most part I HATE sequels) so it's not like those are having any after-the-fact negative effect on my vote You definitely do not want to see the4 sequels, rubbish.
  22. Are people voting now looking back or voting what they felt at the time?
  23. Goldblum is annoying in the every role I think , always plays that hyper active guy.....I enjoyed this if memory serves , Sam Neill and his staring saved it probably. I mistakenly watched it recently with Lorcan and well it was a bit scary for him, I need to remember he's three. The effects still looked good, it was a huge deal at the time wasn't it?
  24. I remember liking it , Kevin Kline was kind of hot property back then IIRC but that went nowhere.
  25. Shoot , yeah that's bedtime here too for the kid......
