    I would really like to know what Manuel's definition of a third place hitter is. I don't like the idea weather perceived or real that now that Reyes or Francoeur or whomever speaks out against Jose batting third that it's now not going to happen, Jerry should have just penciled him in there and let that be that, instead we have weeks on speculation in the media and online about it.

    This is our first two game win streak right? , Some things one might not have expected......Pelfrey leads the team in wins.....ok , you could see that.....Pelfrey leads the team in saves with 1......Rodriguez came close to making last nights game a save situation.

    Pagan hitting third is the new thing now that Reyes has given his disapproval to the idea of him doing it. Lennon has Manuel all but admitting that Reyes batting third is now on the dung pile , Pagan ,Wright and Bay as the 3,4 and 5 guys.

    Per Gary, Beltran saw Steadman and the news is that Beltran is not yet ready for " baseball activities".

    One of the reasons why Buffalo was an attractive option over other cities was it's closeness to Flushing, a decision can be made at 11am and the player can be in the team that night......yet the Mets are still wrong.

    I know that last season I gave up on the voting partly because there was heavy handed criticism in this thread, well not this one but last years version. It's not that I can't take the criticism, and I don't exactly mean that I was getting hammered in here, I wasn't , but the overall tone in here made the voting a chore and not fun. I can certainly appreciate that some people like the back and forth discussion that goes with the thread but frankly it stops being fun very quickly.
