  1. I'll actually surprised by your movie watching choices, certainly don't want to assume you are watching these under duress
  2. I enjoyed it for what it was , although Neeson is just going through the motions, some of his action/thriller movies can become hard to distinguish 3 out of 5 for me , watchable, not memorable
  3. Her mom is Andie MacDowell, she looks like her too.
  4. I am going to finish it later, probably
  5. I tried , half hour in when she meets the English guy I stopped, firstly the shaky camera work was distracting, it was all over the place , what was the girl doing there anyway ?
  6. Pretty much what is going to happen. (Reprised from the Arby's Opera thread) I do like this , absolutely love Pete , another big season and I think the Mets will have to lock him up. Was it Howard's ankle that bothered him??
  7. This had taken a downturn through seven episodes, , still fun though
  8. Yeah, I think Nolan's wife mentioned Tom once , his wife came across as very nice, as did the whole family. Nolan seems loyal , his ranch manager working the ranch for 30 years etc. I was stunned that Ryan never won a Cy Young.
  9. Yeah, I liked the context given to the Ventura running the mound , unlucky him I guess.
  10. Yeah it was cool to see some former Mets , definitely liked Tom House , interesting character
  11. Nolan loves those cattle , I found him to be very likeable and humble
  12. I started this but Prime had a weird thing with subtitles and I could not get them to work...very odd. I will have to take time to revisit it
  13. Ryan Gosling stars in this Bourne rip-off but still enjoyable for the genre. If you're looking for something easy to watch this will suffice.
  14. Did anyone watch this?
  15. I am going to watch this over the holidays , looks good
  16. A dark and at times sad drama set on the island of Inisherin. Bombs and explosions can be see and heard coming from the mainland as the Irish civil war rages on , but all that consumes the locals on this small island is why Colm stopped talking to Padraig. Superb performances all around, much like the civil war men that were once friends are now fighting, no coincidence that this movie it set in 1923
  17. Netflix
  18. Jerry Grote features a lot , claims Ryan threw 108 mph .. lots of good remembrance from team mates and players he faced , plenty of Koufax stuff , Ryan idolized him. Robin Ventura declined to be interviewed
  19. A love letter of a documentary about Nolan Ryan. I enjoyed it, early part of the doc focused a lot of his time with the Mets , general acknowledgment that he was was inconsistent, at heart he's a Texan. Netflix
  20. I might benefit from not knowing the books?
  21. A beautifully shot odd movie, set in the Irish midlands in the years after the famine, a young Irish girl hasn't eaten in four months. Is this a miracle? An English nurse is brought over to watch and report back to a local council of men. A very unusual opening opens the movie, asking us to believe Overall outstanding lead performance and supporting cast Netflix
  22. It's on my list to watch, of course I always forget to watch Prime
  23. Never in a million years would I have thought I would like this, but two episodes in and it is funny and enjoyable. Sylvester Stallone plays Dwight Manfredi , recently released from 25 years in prison, instead of a warm reception back in NYC he is sent to Tulsa to set up shop. Stallone plays the ageing mafia capo to perfection, a lot of old school Mafia tropes here but it's funnier than I expected, good supporting cast too.
  24. Frayed Knot wrote: That's $10.98 more than I'd pay, but your milage may vary. I never use it but my son says he does , I'm skeptical of that though
  25. Just got a notice that my January price for Disney will increase to $10:99
