  1. Strong leads , I can't say I enjoyed it but overall I thought it was good, not great
  2. The mid-season finale in the final season was absolutely shocking.
  3. Ok, so I didn't watch Breaking Bad when it was on, but binged it during the worst of the pandemic. Anyway , I then went on to Better Call Saul , wow , what an amazing show , takes some effort to get through the first season I think, but so worth it. Anyone else watch it ? PS , Lorcan says it's his favorite show ever
  4. Looking forward to this , the reviews are very positive https://www.netflix.com/title/80175798https://www.netflix.com/title/80175798
  5. I watched this the other night , yes, very beautiful ...dragged a bit
  6. I am becoming a little obsessed with watching Youtube videos on the ending and meaning etc , wtf am I doing
  7. During gym class yesterday Lorcan told me that one of his classmates who is a known troublemaker spoiled the ending , everyone was pissed...teacher gave him detention
  8. Lorcan and I saw it saturday, there were many moments when the entire theater started cheering etc ....
  9. Must have watched this at least five times, loved it
  10. Frayed Knot wrote: Saw it shortly after it first came out. But aside from the obvious parallels to apartheid, I can't really say I recall much beyond that. yeah, this really, still , it was enjoyable
  11. I had never even heard of Ghost Rider
  12. I am no expert on the MCU but this list seems wrong to me , makes for some interesting banter in the comments section though https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/nov/15/the-20-best-marvel-films-ranked
  13. Damn, that is a marker Vic....cool that he going with you on Thursday...
  14. Absolutely liked it...helped that Lorcan had me watch Guardians of the Galaxy and a few others that I had no seen...Lorcan loved it ......
  15. Centerfield wrote: So let's predict the demise of this franchise. Black Panther 2 will be met with initial enthusiasm and do well on its first weekend. Then crowds will thin as it becomes obvious that the plot sucks and this is a terrible movie. Debates will rage whether we have a social responsibility to support the movie anyway, or whether we should recognize it for the subpar movie it is. Black Panther 3 will have early obstacles as none of the original cast will sign on to return. The resulting movie thus becomes a prequel, and though better than 2, it will fail to live up to the success of the first one. Black Panther 4 will be a comedy. Kevin Hart is cast as the Black Panther. He now has a sidekick named "White Hippo". Played by Kevin James. That's damn good
  16. Lorcan saw this with his mom and cousin at the Alamo in Yonkers, absolutely loved it ...and loved the Alamo theater
  17. Fuck Churchill , won't be watching
  18. Have to say I found the Oscars very boring...
  19. Have not seen this but rather amazingly Saoirse Ronan get a lot of stick in Ireland for her Dublin accent ( in general I mean, not the move) she is a wonderful actor and this is typical of things in ireland , very begrudging of success. https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/film/saoirse-ronan-s-accent-should-not-be-a-talking-point-1.2490377
  20. I had wanted and waited so long to watch , and wow I was disappointed.....I was bored out of my mind

    Cars

I must have watched this with Lorcan a dozen times, and I must say I always enjoyed it....now, the other night I was flipping through Kodi and Saw Cars 3, he had zero interest in seeing it
  22. Yeah, Gibson sure poured it on...I thought Vaughn at times was comical, maybe it was hard to see him in a serious role. The way he held the gun at times looked odd(I am no expert) , small things like that....why didn't the Japanese cut the rope?, or lob bombs over the side when the Americans were hanging out down below, I have read a few theories on this ...I should not let things like that bother my enjoyment of a movie but it did.
  23. I have some questions about this , specifically regarding the rope . I thought the first half of this dragged and really I was disappointed in proportion to the hype
  24. Interesting read, I have no memory of this movie , at all. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/may/15/ishtar-30th-anniversary-worst-movie-ever-elaine-may [youtube:27v829eu]8KdQ7Gig770[/youtube:27v829eu]
  25. 5000 people are on board AVALON a luxury space liner to the planet Homestead II. A malfunction wakes up one passenger from his hibernation pod, just one, and he's an engineer, handy man type back on earth....without giving anything away it is hard to mention anything else. I really felt this could have been an excellent movie but ultimately I was left disappointed. One person online mentioned that the twist would have been better if it were done the other way around....I agree. The scenes with Arthur were quite good.
