  1. I guess it wasn't written in the wind after all [youtube:t63qbnc9]cMg5cQd5f50[/youtube:t63qbnc9]
  2. So many big names came up small again for the MFYs , and another 6 years of GayRod?, love it.
  3. When I think about this game I can't help but admire what Benoit did out there, yeah he walked in a run with the bases loaded but I thought he showed some heart and never gave in. There were times out there that you could see the pressure he was under. I really enjoyed Smoltz and Darling during the whole game but especially when Benoit was pitching If I were a Yankees fan I want Texeria to swing the fucking bat, hate that guy.
  4. Great for your dad, I bet he's feeling good today. The few times I was at Yankee stadium I would agree with the observations, ramped up 10x for the playoffs I bet.
  5. "Big Balls" Benoit
  6. Wow , look ,Jay Z is at the game, shocked TBS hadn't shown him all night.
  7. A solo shot from Cano that he may well still be admiring, then Rodriguez hacks at the first pitch. 3-1 Tigers

  9. Sabathia up and warming , come on you Tigers.

  11. Robin Ventura hired as White Sox manager, could be an inspired .
  12. Ceetar wrote: yeah. Love it. He clearly isn't even watching. And that's his job..who else could get away with that? so true , he doesn't even give a damn , his excuse in the second video is classic arrogant Mike.
  13. The asshole that just keeps giving , watch both videos Caller Wants To Discuss Tigers Pitcher, Mike Francesa Hangs Up On Him Because He Doesnt Believe That Pitcher Exists

I don't care who the closer is...especially since we have candidates within the organization. The way Alderson has addressed the issue of blown saves I would say he thinks having a good one is very important. I think having a shortstop/lead off man is very important. I think having a catcher and centerfielder that excel at either offense or defense is important. I think having another reliable starting pitcher is important. Alderson has already given us what he believes our budget to be for next season and signing an established closer would be the last thing I'm looking to spend the limited money on. Closer by committee is fine by me. I think that if other postitions aren't addressed first, there won't be many games to save. And, hey, if we really need an established one, there's usually one available via mid-season trade. How important is it for that SS/Lead off man to be clothed because you know um...... JJ Putz.....kidding

If I was a collector, there's probably no ball that I would want more than that one. I was at Shea that night, and that 10th inning is, and forever will be, the apex of my career as a baseball fan. Didn't that fetch $3 million? , Mets fans cherish it and it's an iconic baseball moment but at that price?
  16. No chance he gets $1 million for this ball is there?, a hundred grand I'm thinking.
  17. Bowa I would have thought was a bit like Collins, tightly wound, not a bad choice though.
  18. Somehow Jose thought that was a top idea, lord.
  19. Wharten stays with all those changes? Brutal indeed.
  20. There was a thread a while ago about this but I think we made fun of it because it might have been in the crazy friends FB status thread .......I guess it's true though......just what Wright needs, go from a huge park to an even bigger one albeit with better air.

I think Bob P. is the favorite right now, so I voted for him. But I think they're going to bring in a couple of relievers they like to compete for the job and win pen spots. Ultimately I think Terry may lean towards the familiarity of Parnell unless one of those new guys looks absolutely amazing. Parnell really?, everything I came away with towards the end of the season regarding Bobby was that the brain trust was not all that enamoured with him.
  24. I voted for Bell only because I didn't want to vote "other" , but you know look at Madson and how his role has constantly changed with the Phillies and I could easily see Acosta closing games here.
