    WOW , that was gold, you're a hell of a writer ..... So a Mets fan (me) was born 42 years after the fact. It was like you were going back in time to get me at 6 years old, taking me by the hand, and leading me through Mets history so that I could join them in the present. that is really awesome really cool that you will meet Ed next season.

    How pathetic is the offense? , Christ Almighty, look at this from the UMDB.......home games http://leaptoad.com/mets/gameresults.php you can't win scoring so few runs obviously.... saw a blurb last night on SNY.....didn't pay a lot of attention but it was something about the Mets becoming one of four teams in like the last 50/100 years(wasn't paying attention) to score so few runs in consecutive home games.....something like that, wasn't good anyway... Grim, how come when I link to what I am seeing in UMDB is goes to blank when I open the link?

    Christ.....looks like this fella has an axe to grind......I dunno, looks to me like Megdal like a lot of bloggers is given his opinion, neither he , me or Rubin know what Gee is going to do..... he is speculating.... Megdal then goes on to worry about finding quality starts from McHugh, Mejia, Familia, and Wheeler. I don�t think there�s one scout, Met fan, or casual observer who wouldn�t take the aforementioned quartet over Miguel Batista, Chris Schwinden, and Jeremy Hefner. To Megdal, though, the results from next year�s fill ins should be comparable to the results from 2012. Of course no Met fan would take those four over Mejia et al....did Megdal say they would? I have never heard or read Danny Abriano until now but he sure seems to have a hard on for Megdal.

    lol.....great game ending double play of the bat of Texeria as the O's hold on to win 5-4, looks like a blown call actually as Texaria dived into first base and the ump got it wrong....delightful.

    The place was empty enough when he was honored , he came out and doffed his cap....it was nearly all clapping in my section, then lusty booing and Larry chants from there on....seemed to be plenty of Braves fans right by his 3rd base area in the stands. Lorcan thought we should only boo yankee players....fair enough I thought.

    As a gift the tix the client left for me were excellent...I thank him....Mets can't hit with RISP - o for at least 8 when we bolted..........Heyward's HR was a goner right of the bat.....had that look about it... I swear the in house music goes up to 11 when Bay comes to bat.....

    The wife got a surprise today when a client at Chase told her he left two tickets in my name for pick up at Citi Field for the game tonight....will call tix? where do I pick them up? anyone going?

    This is beyond fucking annoying and I think embarrassing. Bud Selig should announce that any team that wants to honor and remember on 9/11 with hats should be allowed to do so. I would think common sense would prevail in what is worn.

    I guess if the Mets paid most of Francisco's salary they might be able to trade him.....owed $6 million something....so many questions going into next season. The young starting pitching that seems to be in the org makes me hopeful.
