  1. Old Hoss Radbourn ?@OldHossRadbourn 16h After his fascinating deconstruction of "Texarkana" T. McCarver will next discuss the origin of the cronut. this is hilarious, as was Tim's talk on that city.
  2. I can't handle all this learning...
  3. Incredible, so vaseline is the brand name and not the actual product?, we should be calling it petroleum jelly? Learn something new everyday.
  4. A little conspiracy...Lester using vaseline. http://deadspin.com/cardinals-minor-leaguer-thinks-jon-lester-is-a-cheater-1451341587
  5. joe Torre claimed that he knew the umps would converse because he saw them "collapse" on the ump in question...a sure sign to him the the other umps saw something different. John Farrell says he asked the umps to converse.
  6. His future at bat music better be from the Scorpions.
  7. Anyway, Lester was great tonight. I don't think I realized how good he is.
  8. and Holliday twerks that one over the Monster...or as Joe Buck said he pounded it.....Robin Thicke would be proud.

And with the exception of a three-inning span in game 2 of 2007 when they were briefly behind the Rockies 1-0 (a Todd Helton ground-out knocked in Matt Holliday in the 1st inning) you have to go back to a certain HR by Ray Knight to find the last time they even trailed a WS game. damn, good info
  11. Yeah, loading problems seem to persist.

Countless Boston Twitterers who are good at making false equivalencies but have never swung a bat in anger while nursing a bone bruise are having a field day at 'Los's expense. ugh, makes it hard to buy into the whole B Strong thing, B assholes alright.
  13. and nothing comes of that situation..
  14. Sox up 5-0 but Cardinals have bases loaded in the 4th with one out.
  15. Hughie O'Hara
  16. Sox in 7 although the Cardinals pitching seems to be set up better....Willets son is a Sox fan, good enough reason for me to root for them. *although with the start times he likely will see little of it, that's a shame.
  17. Great article.....I'd have never thought of the rivalry like that but they present it very well. Makes sense when you think about it, the Mets V Marlins games were great, and according to the system used Met/Phillies was the worst rivalry....makes sense too, games had no spice to them whereas the Marlins games did for whatever reason.
  18. A few years ago people(me) would have been salivating over Leyland being available....not so much now I think.
  19. I think I see some candy where Prince was diving ......
  20. Fucking wow...a granny for Victorino
  21. From tonight
  22. Gold "and that call to the bullpen is really a call to arms folks, rise up people here's your chance to get freedom fries with that koch"
  23. The slow pace kills it for me as far as watching....instead we are watching "The Dog that saved Halloween"
