Could not be happier with this trade , as noted above I like it better than the gomez non trade. I would have bet anything that Wheeler would have been in this deal , their GM loves Fulmer and we have lost a lot of minor league pitchers this week but you need to give them up to get guys like this......

I liked them , hey just wore them way too much. When I think of the black I think late 90's and early 2000s Mets teams, some good years in there.

I agree Batnag, I have always advocated for Terry to be at the helm with a Mets team expected to go places , is this that team?, I am not convinced ......still , the jig might be up if they don't .

It's about the only place Fred is visible , PSL during ST....hard to get past Sherman's ball washing of Steinbrenner ....it is a nothing story....the boss went into his managers office ..."listen we got Cuddyer and Harvey is back".....

It's an interesting setup with the Mets renting Barwis space at their PSL complex and the players then paying upwards of thousands $$$ for the program, the Mets subsidize some for minor league players etc. Not all Mets players have bought into the system. Though Zack Wheeler reported to Port St. Lucie early, for example, he did not want to pay Barwis thousands of dollars when he could work out at the Mets' regular facility for free. (Union chief Tony Clark said Sunday that he has no problem with the facility's setup.)
