  1. Saw a thing today on Twitter, is Bochy worthy of the HOF......is he? Bochy always came across to me as so understated ,seems to get the best from his squad. I don't know what the criteria would be but he certainly has had a great last five years.
  2. Verducci and Reynolds are embarrassing themselves with their routine in the booth tonight , specifically with their adoration of Wainwright, who has pitched brilliantly.
  3. the combo of Buck and the Cardinals and him calling their walkoffs just irritates
  4. C.J. Nitcoski just told me on twitter that is was a one off, planned months in advance but that's it....that sucks

Doesn't look like it seeing as how 'Big FOX' isn't even touching most of the remaining NLCS games leaving FS1 as the location for the game itself. So unless they're throwing the round table discussion to FS2 (which I don't think half the country even gets) there's no room for the overflow. damn, that sucks, Burkhardt was the perfect host of this round table chat , what I really liked about it was they weren't shoving the advanced stats down your throat like look how smart we are, it was just easy conversation with KB leading them , Nitcowski is very knowledgeable, Bub Black and some great insight , Kapler not the lunk head I would have guessed he was and Neyer of course helping to explain it all.....didn't know he has quite the lisp .
  6. Ceetar wrote: so, during tomorrow night's broadcast, we can watch on FS1 with like, actual real analysis. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/discussing-the-nlcs-powered-by-jabo-with-rob-neyer/ I'm loving this , absolutely
  7. Ugh, how I loathe the Cardinals......anyway, I know a lot of people don't like Harper but dammit he is fun to watch....didn't catch the end of this game...too freaking late
  8. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Well, to a certain extent, familiarity does breed contempt. But I don't really see any teams in this post-season that I would root against, other than St. Louis. A Pirates-Royals World Series would be nice. (It sounds like a strange matchup, but the two teams did win pennants in consecutive years back in 1979 and 1980.) That said, I'm not really rooting for anyone. If the Mets aren't in it (and they usually are not) I pretty much tune out the post-season. and this year some of the game are on FOX Sports 1. I know I used to have that channel but I pared back on my cable recently,I imagine quite a few people do not have it.
  9. A's, Royals, or Pittsburgh , voted for Oakland though.

  11. I honestly don't see any manager that would have made the difference or done better than Terry did this season with this squad, unless you think Terry cost the Mets games this season?
  12. bmfc1 wrote: I fear that we will see Jeter throw out the 1st pitch at a WS game. Or at least someone else will see it because I will change the channel. ugh, I would not be surprised
  13. DGW posted that on FB, it is gold, every utterance in there is gold

I mean, wow. I made this up but you could imagine he wrote similar

  17. Tim Marchman: Tim Marchman lambasts the commercial, and the media for promoting it for free that was great
  18. Money for old rope that lot , SNY fit in so many commercials that they far too often miss pitches, hits etc. coming back, there's a fix right there.
  19. Any word on weather his team are along for the ride?, what is their status?
  20. Zvon wrote: I think having Wally coach for a season is a good idea. TC can go out a winner (Mets make the post in '15) and the transition to Wally can end up feeling like a more natural thing. TC retires from field work, Backman steps right on up. makes sense
  21. Gwreck wrote: batmagadanleadoff wrote: Make of it what you will, but if it weren't for the lame wild card format, their season would've died about a month before it actually did. When did you think the Mets' season died? They were four games under .500 at the all-star break and haven't been any closer to .500 since. those are sobering numbers , as mentioned above .500 is the number
  22. Would second place be an achievement to be happy about?, is it even an achievement ? I feel like I am being sold a lemon here, but there is a lot to look forward to I think .
  23. Ah, makes it no fun to be a MFY fan, probably wrote that wearing his fucking asshole 27 WS shirt....
  24. Please , why did Terry pull deGROM?
  25. A bit disappointing that this thread is not about Mejia's Mom going crazy about her son's role or something , of course it is worse than that....
