    Saw this on Showtime last night. I thought it was very good...went through Dickey's great story without the preachiness and creepiness of his book. Lots of Mets stuff (and lots of black shadow). Good fun, even though Dick is now a Blue Jay.

    ASG batting practice jerseys are as gaudy as ever...but certainly Metly. If I was in charge, I would have given the NL the blue jerseys and the AL the orange, but what do I know.

    The MM's had a closed-door players-only meeting last night. As owner, I had a few things to say, but they wouldn't let me in. I'll probably just go blab to the papers about it today.

    I'm pretty disappointed that there is only one non-weekend day game in June. I woke up today thinking today was one until I looked at the schedule.

    Dreamland. This is still a heavily flawed team with many more question marks than answers. The last five games have been great, but it doesn't change the 46 that came before them. It's going to take more than a sweep against an over-achieving team from the other league before I start doing ANY "math".
