  1. I'll second that.
  2. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/26578/f-mart-leaves-buffalo-game-with-injury The URL says is all.
  3. During the 2002 postseason, I was still wondering how the Mets got so bad so quickly. I was rooting against Bonds...but not really paying attention.
  4. Really, we were two bullpen meltdowns from having an 8-2 road trip with a sweep of both MIL and ATL. The starting pitching and offense on the trip was mostly good. I'd like to see them take it to these AL teams now. Edit: FK is faster than me.

  7. I guess...I'm just saying that the Mets aren't exactly going to be offering Reyes a 7 year $145M deal off the bat. Will he take 5/$90M (WAG) if he think he can get more...especially where the years are concerned? Piazza was being offered 7 years back when those types of deals were rare to none.
  8. Mike Piazza didn't test the market because the Mets offered him a then record-breaking 7 year $91M deal.
  9. I don't think Piazza gave the Mets a discount, the Mets gave him pretty much what he wanted...right? I suppose Reyes could sign and be done with it...but I think he'd at least like to see what he's worth this winter.
  10. Selfishly, Willet's 3x10 idea doesn't really work for me...or potentially other transplanted fans. I'll go see the Mets every year when they're in Milwaukee...but I only make it to NYC every 3 or 4 years to see the Mets there.
  11. Gwreck wrote: Eliminating the leagues is great but would require eliminating the DH in the American League (tough sell). I think it is more likely they would just use the DH for all teams (although, it's equally as tough a sell).
  12. I thought the new plan ditched the divisions...wouldn't games against the Dodgers be just as important as the Braves in this 15 team league scenario?
  13. I agree...I think he's gonna test the market. Why wouldn't he? But still, I don't think he should be traded.
  14. From Metsblog, via the FAN's interview with Alderson this morning: He spoke about the future of Jose Reyes, and said he intends to reach out to his agents soon. He is aware of the fan sentiment regarding Reyes and acknowledged that has an effect on these kinds of decisions. However, while Reyes has expressed his loyalty to the Mets and the fans, he doesnt know if Reyes intends to test free agency this winter.
  15. Well, you know interleague makes money for the majority of teams, otherwise the owners would nix it. I still don't understand if this plan would balance out the schedule, and if so, how.

  17. I hope we don't get fucked out of 4 good innings there.
  18. I like this Gee kid more and more every time I see him.

  20. I'm opposed. Interleague everyday sounds horrible to me.
  21. Reyes is good.
  22. Delayed due to rain. Looking at the weather in Atlanta...I'm not so sure about this one.
  23. No comercio Reyes!
