  4. Less than 10%. If someone is offering prospects, we should grab them up. However, if the only offer is cash...I'd be less inclined. I'm having a change of heart on offering him a short-term contract as a free agent, though. $15 million for 2 years?

  6. Semantics...but, Edgy's got a point with the way the question was phrased.

  8. Acosta is still on this team?
  9. Hard to forget the Pujols dissing during the 2006 NLCS. And the team's Jose, Jose mock during their celebration. Pujols is a turd.
  10. 12:10...I'm an idiot. 11:10 for me. I guess I'll take a late lunch.
  11. Gay dame...starts at 12:20.

  13. Saw the last two innings at the bar after softball. Amazing!
  14. Ceetar wrote: Is that worth trading him to the Phillies in exchange for a guy that so far looks like Lucas Duda in as many AB in the majors? Yes. I will feel bad because I like the guy as a Met. But he must be traded. For as much as we can get. Brown is a top-level prospect.
  15. I was really hoping this was going to somehow link to that Replacements song.
  16. I split the middle with 5. It would still depend on how many teams were involved and how well those teams were positioned to go down the stretch.
  17. Buster Onley tweets: Mets are 100 percent sure they are not trading Reyes
  18. Or just look at what they have done with the burdensome contracts in New York: March 18, 2011: Luis Castillo released by the New York Mets. March 21, 2011: Oliver Perez released by the New York Mets. July 12, 2011: Francisco Rodriguez traded by the New York Mets with cash to the Milwaukee Brewers for two players to be named.
  19. Hired gun? He's been here 7 years. He's 17th on the all-time games played as a Met list...even after all of the injuries.
  20. soupcan wrote: Why? Watching him help a division rival get to the WS is enough to turn my stomach...even if it's only for 2 and a half months.
  21. Carlos to the Phillies would be pretty hard to swallow. But, Dominic Brown would be a nice lozenge.
  22. Pitching with a 2 run lead in the eighth vs. pitching with a 2 run lead in the ninth...what's the difference in terms of the "development of a closer"?
  23. Maybe. I think he's the right choice anyhow given his experience.
  24. Gee 4 Beltran 1 Paulino 1 Pagan 1 Murphy 1 Reyes 1 Turner 1
  25. The NL Central is dreadfully horrible. Remind yourself that even at a game under .500, the Mets would be only 3.5 games out of the division lead in the NL Central.
