    I forget each year how much I hate the All-Star Game. I find it brings me much more bitterness than joy. I can guarantee that I will be watching thrice-seen re-runs of The Office as soon as Beltran is pulled. Oh...and fuck you, Joe Buck.

    He's a little high on Pelfrey, Bay and Frankie. Where are the rest of the relievers? It's a hell of a curve when the lowest grade is a C-.

    I take it back. The plaid short comment was overly sterotypical. Plaid shorts and doucheyness are not mutually exclusive. However, in my experience, there is no shortage of douches wearing plaid shorts.

    Plaid shorts are for douches. Sometimes I really hate people. "Fans" like this are going to ruin it for everyone. Soon we'll all be watching baseball games behind big plexiglass walls.

    It's all DH all the time in the AS Game, but I think this is the first year we've seen it in an NL park.

    I'm agreed, I'd like to see him go to the Jints. They have a couple of nice looking A-level teenaged starters. I'd be happy to take one and pay some cash to see Carlos play by the bay.

    That NL lineup would look a lot better if it had a leadoff hitter.

    As I was speaking this weekend to non-Mets fans about Beltran going to the AS Game, it finally hit home how much I am going to miss Beltran when he is gone and what an under-appreciated all-time Met he is. My goal for the next few weeks is to take advantage of watching as many remaining Beltran at bats as I can.

    They've been fun and satisfying. Their record is better than I had expected, but their level of play is about where I thought it would be. I like that they are fighting as a team and are playing well through key injuries this season.
