Did he design em? I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure -- almost certain. The black uniforms were his idea.
  3. One guess per post. Identify the eight Mets who, as active players, wore the home uniforms of each of the two Mets World Championship squads: (Disregard commemorative patches and fabric changes when considering uniform styles. Thus, for the purpose of this quiz, the 1969 Mets home uniform is identical to the 1974 Mets home uniform even though the 1969 home uni was made of flannel and sported the 100th Baseball Anniversary patch, while the 1974 uni was commemoratively patchless and was made of double-knit polyester.).

  5. Maybe Charlie can take those ugly black Mets uniforms with him out the door.

Well, they haven't announced anything in that regard yet, so we'll see. I hope they realize (and judging by the way they've conducted business in the past they do) that partial plans is really where they can hope to make some money. Probably they're trying to get season tickets first, logically, and the perks for 12/15 help them analyze how many seats they need/want to make into partial plan seats, and hopefully they'll offer perks in some regard. In the 1990's I had a conversation with someone in the Mets offices who told me that the organization especially hated the partial plans in the field boxes and wished that there was a way to revoke all of those partial plans without creating a PR nightmare.

  23. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/39989425/ns/sports-player_news/ Signed just for the one year? , seems a bit bizarre. I guess Edwin does look rather old right there, smart move giving just the one year. It might work out to the benefit of the manager to take a one year deal, so long as the team isn't willing to guarantee the multi-year deal. I don't know what the deal was in Florida, though.
