  1. Four innings against the Phillies pen. Too bad it's the Mets offense.
  2. That's probably the ball game.
  3. Great job by Tidwell. Already ahead of Blackburn.
  4. This game already sucks
  5. Edgy MD wrote: I think we have come to a pretty strong consensus of what is going on, but nobody seems to want to take the lead in changing policy. What specifically?
  6. ESPN says 31.1% chance to win. I think I'd sign up for those odds. They feel like it's like 8 to 1.
  7. OMG THROW A FUCKING STRIKE
  8. It's not just losing. It's giving games away.
  9. Bases loaded walk. Just atrocious baseball. At least we didn't throw to the wrong base or use our face mask.
  10. Another leadoff walk. Five overall. We just keep looking to give games away.
  11. Holy fuck. Make an adjustment. The hitting approach continues to be atrocious. How many sliders are you going to chase.
  12. I was thinking Butto to start as well. Let Montas work out of the pen.
  13. It was good of the Mets to remedy the terrible performance with RISP by never putting a RISP.
  14. Quintana has a 3.35 ERA. Just saying.
  15. He should have been non-tendered.
  16. Blackburn already Blackburning.
  17. This game is going exactly as I expected.
  18. ESPN gives the Mets a 28.7% chance of winning. Way too high in my opinion.
  19. So we'll never know what would have happened had Garret thrown the fast ball. But you can't understate the importance of mixing pitches. Alvarez read that as "looking lost". I felt like Ozuna was figuring out the timing. In any case, it's clear that splitter was not the right call there. And even if Alvarez thought it would be good to double up on the splitter, a pitcher who isn't convinced it's the right pitch to throw is more likely to throw a bad one. I've had some time to let that loss sink in. Unlike the other losses this season, this one still pisses me off. I've now seen the replay of the late call by the umpire on the Alonso fly ball. So I guess Soto might have been somewhat justified, but also, that play was right in front of him. The rest of the mistakes. Just awful.
  20. =Centerfield post_id=189208 time=1744207081 user_id=65] All the young guys. Baty is kinda the poster boy right now. But Acuna's not far behind. Mauricio and Gilbert never recover. Sproat got knocked around in his first start. Even Vientos looks lost. Alvarez is hurt. They can't all suck right?
  21. And really. Enough of Jared fucking young.
  22. You can't play that stupid and expect to win. Pete with the boneheaded baserunning. Mauricio error. Alvarez with his head up his ass. On the Soto play what is the point of a base coach if you don't fucking coach. Awful pitch sequence from Garrett. And now it's Sale versus Blackburn.
  23. Wtf. I can't believe how stupid we are.
