My optimism is fading. Isn't it about time to put Beltran on the DL? Let him rest...he looks terrible in the field and at the plate. I'd rather have him healthy for the second half than watch him struggle like this.

I would, but mine is pretty straightforward.

why can't the Mets do stuff like thatI reconk it has something to do with money. It's probably much cheaper to throw up some billboards at bus stops about how next year is actually last year or something like that...

Forget Fonzie. My sources tell me the real deal is Looper for Joanie, Chachie and a piano player to be named later.

According to the article, the surgery, if necessary, would put him out two months. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050607&content_id=1080114&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlbYou never wish injury on anyone...but this is Chipper Jones so that makes it ok.

That's right. That was the time Benitez ruined our season by blowing the save in the first game of a doubleheader against the DBacks causing us to go into a tailspin for the rest of the month. I remember thinking it was irresponsible of Benitez to pick that game to blow a save. I hope Looper won't repeat that mistake.
