  2. The '88 pitcher was guessed*, Tim Leary right? *by MFS62 above.
  3. Wow, celebrating a second-half FSL division championship with the good stuff!
  4. 2004 P Kris Benson?
  5. I feel like Hershiser won one of these. If it wasn't 88, I'll guess 93.
  6. Why not? 1999 P Mike Hampton
  7. Beltran was still going strong for the pennant-winning Cards of 2013. So I will guess he is the second OF with Metly connections on the 2013 OF board.
  8. 1993 OF Dykstra?

  16. I'm gonna guess that Beltran won it more than once. So, Carlos Beltran, CF, 2007.
  17. Kevin McReynolds, 1988 LF
  18. My Grandpops, who I watched a lot of Sunday afternoon games with in the early to mid '70s, HATED Bob Murphy. I never understood why.

Braves are slipping into that new ballpark. I wish him well, but not against us. We shall pwn him. If they wanted to play in a park that looks just like Turner Field, why didn't they just stay there?
  20. I suppose the Braves could do worse for a "veteran innings-eater"(™) but he had a lot fewer innings eaten this year, and as FK said, he's getting up there now.
  21. Dusty only signed a 2-year deal when they hired him?
  22. I got too wired/tired to post after a while last night. Two things on last night and one on the series in general: 1. I scratched my head at subbing out Coco Crisp with the bases loaded. I understand trying to get an arm out there to cut down the potential go-ahead run, but boy if I'm the Cubs I'm glad I didn't see that guy come up as the winning run in the 10th. 2. Guyer gave them some really good ABs. He did more in 3 PAs than Chisenhall did all series. 3. This was the third game of the series where the home plate umpire was bad. So bad that my kid noticed. We can't have shitty umps in the showcase event of the sport.
  23. Maddons all in with Chapman
  24. Maybe it's just the Cubs time. In that 4th inning you had aHBP on an 0-2 count; a botched throw on a potential DP by Napoli and the Davis play.
  25. Home plate ump killing me again. Ball 4 to Bryant was right down plate. Ump has been wildly inconsistent all night.
