  1. Or is it because he hasn't been playing those day games in Wrigley? http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/What-in-the-name-of-Michael-Jackson-is-up-with-S?urn=mlb,200803 Weird. Later
  2. MFS62

    Sorry!

  3. As I drove to work yesterday mid-day, every pre-set AM station on my car radio (all 5 of them) had a reporter covering the pararde. I quickly switched to FM music. It must take a very special kind of person to actually want to listen to a parade on the radio. If you're YLDBaggery enough to do that, why not just go? Later

  5. "Your Honor. Do you mean this isn't a performance enhancing drug? Gee, I should have used the stuff I found in Barry's old locker." Later
  6. So I walked into work wearing MFY logo gear, ready to take all the slings and arrows (not all proverbial) to pay up my bet with my boss. And he wasn't here! He had to go to the dentist with some sort of "dental emergency". There IS justice in this world. Later
  7. Didn't the ChiSox acquire Rios to play right field? And didn't he incur the wrath of Ozzie for sucking? (I posted a quote) But they kept playing him. Maybe that's why Dye slumped more than anything. And maybe not. But Dye may still be worth further consideration. Later
  8. Just goes to show what $2 million per win can buy you. Three (maybe one and a half reliable) starters, one great (maybe greatest of all time) closer, an All-Star infield and a pedestrian outfield, supported by capable fill-ins. And a very classy guy who now only bats, and does that very well. Matsui is the only Yankee I actually like. He seems to conduct himself very professionally, both on and off the field. He will be a free agent at the end of the season. If his knees were well enough to play the outfield I'd be all for the Mets signing him. Alas, they aren't. LAter
  9. I think Jeter must have stolen those three Golden Glove Awards. Later

  11. We should name an award after Huckaby. Later
  12. I'll forever consider it a heads-up play by Damon and a heads-up-their-ass play by the Phillies. But, you're right. It will be given far more historical credit than it probably deserves. Later
  13. We've been saying for a while that he's a horse's ass. Y'mean to say that there's now graphic proof? Later
  14. In his last start, one of Mejia's pitches hit 99 MPH on the gun.(reported on Inside Pitch - a registration-required site.) Later
  15. If the MFYs win tonight, I have to wear something with the MFY logo on it to the office tomorrow. I'd rather delay that for as long as possible. Later
  16. If that woman who offered sex for tix wants to give them back, what does the guy who traded them have to do? Later
  17. That's what I said, or at least tried to say. Later
