  1. Watching the post-game show on MSG. They are replaying and rehashing what the MFYs did wrong and spending little time showing highlights of the Mets. (They are showing Terry's post game, though) They were bemoaning the fact that because the game was in a NL park, they couldn't use a DH. Its baseball the way its supposed to be played, you morons. STFU. OOPS, Terry said Clip-art experienced some discomfort in the back, and that's why he wasn't used. Not good. Later
  2. Too bad the MFYs weren't on last night, so we could have listened to the anguish in Suzyn's voice as she read the out of town scores. The Jays won 6-0, adding a 1/2 game to their AL East lead. Later
  3. There aren't too many people who are proud of having their names on that list, like the list of folks who didn't get laid at the toga party. Later

  9. I've been rooting for Whoever from before I rooted for the Mets. Later
  10. Werth always did kill the Mets - even when he's not playing against them. Later

  12. Matz - because the opponent may not have any ( or may have limited) game experience against him. Later
  13. I'd keep Conforto in left and occasionally platoon Cuddyer with Duda. Later
  14. Savannah and Binghamton have been eliminated from their leagues' playoffs. Haven't read of any players being brought up from either team. Looks like the major league roster is a done deal - for now. Later
  15. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Duda not making it easy for Niese. Things like that have caused Niese to dissolve into a puddle of suck in the past. Let's see what happens. Later
  16. Campbell hasn't appeared at second all this season. Meanwhile, the Braves booth still seems to think that Matz is Jewish. And I'm guessing, because of the high school he went to, current Mets minor leaguer Michael Katz isn't either. http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=katz--000mic Later

  20. I remember when, if you heard there might be precipitation at a Braves game, it meant Lew Burdette would be loading up a spitter. Sigh. Later
  21. I think Howie's almost holy shit will become the quote of the season. (for those poor souls who have not had the honor to know about KILL KILL KILL.) Later

  24. YLDBs are the classic front runners, as their declining attendance might indicate. So, their favorite might just be that DH guy, who is having a very good year. After all, he may have been the best shortstop in the history of that team. He just never was given a chance to prove it.* Now, back to the Mets ... 25. We like them all, love many of them. But as I posted a few weeks ago, Wilmer is more than that. He is beloved. He will become the Edgardo Alfonzo of this generation. Later
