  1. Who takes a picture of their cock and sends it to co-workers or colleagues? One congressman showed his weiner: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1394860/Anthony-Weiner-Twitter-scandal-I-sent-lewd-photos-6-women-lied-it.htmlhttps://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1394860/Anthony-Weiner-Twitter-scandal-I-sent-lewd-photos-6-women-lied-it.html Later
  2. Benjamin Grimm wrote: This looks like the kind of lineup we'd see in 1979. Nope. worse. The 1979 team hit .250 as a team and had one 15 and one 16 HR hitters (Maz and Youngblood). Later
  3. Thor starting a rehab game for St. Lucie tonight. Later
  4. Step right up and Play for the Mets. In case you missed Lefty's post in the centerfield thread, Steve Cohen tweeted "Anybody want to suit up?" I thought I was kidding when I told Marshmellowmilkshake to bring his glove to the game in Florida. So, either Cohen is lurking here, or had the same idea. https://www.nj.com/mets/2021/05/mets-steve-cohen-puts-out-an-urgent-plea-on-twitter-after-another-player-gets-hurt.htmlhttps://www.nj.com/mets/2021/05/mets-steve-cohen-puts-out-an-urgent-plea-on-twitter-after-another-player-gets-hurt.html I think this deserves a stand-alone discussion. So, who here at the CPF would be willing to give it a try? I would. Later
  5. I said one that I'm confident I'll be seeing in the Majors. Third baseman Mark Vientos is on many Mets top 10 prospect lists, but is hovering around the Mendoza line so far this season. And he may be passed by Baty as as third base prospect very soon. To put it another way, none that I see as a sure-fire bet to make it, or adopt. None of the position players on Binghamton have been impressive so far. But I'll give you a "yet" on this. And there may be a pitcher or two who might make it. Later
  6. He's six years old? I thought they got those Passport birthday names straightened out. Later
  7. The Mets have .137 hitters, but not any who hit home runs. (sigh) Later
  8. Edgy MD wrote: That'll put him, Baty, and Mauricio in the same lineup. My daughter is getting tickets for us to see Binghamton (AA) at Hartford in August. I hope to see at least one of them promoted to that level by then. It would keep my streak going for seeing at least one future Met playing in AA ball each time I've gone to one of their games. (From Veras, Vina and Husky, through Ike Davis to Gimemez) There isn't anyone else now playing at Binghamton I'm confident I'll see in the majors. Later
  9. Double wow. Can we slot in Rojas' PR acumen in at first base, batting third? Because it's... https://twitter.com/AlbaneseLaura/status/1396922237173866498pretty offensive. [bLOCKQUOTE]Rojas said McCann is "familiar" with first base even though he's never played there professionally.[/bLOCKQUOTE] Like, he's a secret admirer, from afar? This year, first base has only been a rumor to McCann. Later

  14. When a guy spills something toward his winning Lottery ticket, he yells "NOOOOO" and runs for a paper towel to blot up the liquid, rather than picking up the Lottery ticket before it gets wet, and then going for the paper towel. Later

  16. At the start of the season, I don't think any of us would have expected to read these words in a Mets game summary Johneshwy Fargas tripled to right, Jake Hager and Khalil Lee scored. Johneshwy Fargas out advancing on throw Later
  17. Frayed Knot wrote: =MFS62 post_id=64936 time=1621630698 user_id=60] Nunez and Maybin appear to be roughly equivalent. Nunez is neither an outfielder nor a good fielder.
  18. =Marshmallowmilkshake post_id=64926 time=1621622212 user_id=119] I'll be there!
  19. Edgy MD wrote: Ryan Braun? Eduardo Nuñez? What would they have to give up for Braun? Of course I'd prefer him over Maybin. Nunez and Maybin appear to be roughly equivalent. Later

  22. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Oh for christ skaes Present your case for not playing Alvarez, if he's healthy. Looking at the state of the current catching situation, why wouldn't you want him to develop as quickly as possible? Don't you think this would help his development? Later
  23. Thor pitched four one-hit innings in his first rehab start for St.Lucie (low A) today. Unfortunately, top catching prospect Francisco Alvarez was benched, probably because he was only hitting .450. Wouldn't it have been nice for Alvarez to catch him, to enhance his familiarity with a major league pitcher's thought process when facing a hitter? Terrible decision, IMO, for whoever made it. Later
  24. Edgy MD wrote: "Just how close would we be to Tebow Time had the Heisman Winner not elected to hang 'em up this spring?" About as close as any other player who hit .273 in AA and .163 in AAA in his last minor league years. (now two years removed) To put it another way, not very close. I would have signed Maybin even if Tebow were available. Later
