Great job. I thought Terry Leach might have been on that list. I remember him coming out of the bullpen as an emergency starter and returning there after the regular starters got healthy. But he started three games for KC in his one season there. Later

A Boy Named Seo wrote: I believe a Mets message board can withstand more than one thread for Mets player acquisitions. I originally had separate posts and decided to combine them. My original thread said the Mets traded for two pitchers. The second was announced less than five minutes after I hit enter. The Mets still have five (or is it six?) open roster spots, and we haven't reached the Winter Meetings. Things are going to get busy here. If you want to start separate threads to discuss them individually, please do it. Later

Combining all announcements into one thread. The Mets acquired two Pitchers from the Marlins: According to Mike Puma of The New York Post, the Mets have acquired a pair of pitchers from the Miami Marlins in Elieser Hernandez and Jeff Brigham in exchange for minor league pitcher Franklin Sanchez. https://www.si.com/mlb/mets/news/new-york-mets-acquire-elieser-hernandez-jeff-brigham-from-marlins-tradehttps://www.si.com/mlb/mets/news/new-york-mets-acquire-elieser-hernandez-jeff-brigham-from-marlins-trade Later

The lefty hitting Japanese League outfielder Masataka Yoshida was mentioned in some stories about possible Mets Free Agent targets. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=yoshid002mashttps://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=yoshid002mas It they can't re-sign Nimmo, he seems to be a nice fit because of his high OBP. Also- they didn't add Jake Mangum to the 40 man roster. They may feel Yoshida would be more major-league ready than Jake and will make a big effort to sign Yoshida. Later

Manfred: Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred spoke to reporters on Thursday with one topic being the investigation into whether or not the Yankees and Mets colluded to drive down the price of free agent outfielder Aaron Judge. Manfred acknowledged that the league is conducting an investigation. “I'm absolutely confident the clubs behaved in a way that was consistent with the (CBA) agreement. This was based on a newspaper report. We will put ourselves in a position to demonstrate credibly to the MLBPA that this is not an issue. I'm sure that's going to be the outcome,” Manfred said. https://metsmerizedonline.com/manfred-doesnt-believe-mets-yankees-are-colluding/https://metsmerizedonline.com/manfred-doesnt-believe-mets-yankees-are-colluding/ Nothing to see here. Nice, if you like those other two sports. I'd get more excited hearing about a stadium complex they're building to bring the Jets back to Queens that could also accommodate tennis and soccer. Later

Where are these big trades Rizzo re-signed with the MFYs and Joc Pederson took the qualifying offer and re-signed with SF.(taking one potential FA outfielder off the market) I'm waiting for the announcements of which players have been added to the major league rosters to protect them from the Rule V Draft. =kcmets post_id=112911 time=1668458203 user_id=53] I read somewhere that Camp Manfred is considering that retired numbers may soon be able to be worn again so long as they're worn with the different font than the retirees. Crazy world we live in.
