The spokesperson for a health supplement company (and user of the products) could have auditioned for the part of Norman Bates' mother. She makes me scared of even trying that stuff. Later

According to SNY: Denyi Reyes cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse, remaining in the Mets' organization after getting designated for assignment last Tuesday. Later

#285 Nick Lorusso - 3B U of Maryland. The last Maryland draftee picked by the Mets who stands out in my mind was Jay Payton. Go Terps! and he's also from Monroe, CT, practically a homie. from SNY: Lorusso was one of the most productive hitters in college baseball this season. He hit .379 with a .446 OBP, 1.211 OPS, 26 home runs, and was tied for the NCAA-lead with 105 RBI. The Monroe, CT native has the potential to be a quick riser through the minors. Later

https://twitter.com/RobHMorrow/status/1677820918695972869 Dear Mr. Morrow. Koufax' last year, he was 27-9, with a 1.73 ERA (190 ERA+) and struck out 317 batters. We would wish every starter on our staff would "fizzle" like that. He retired early due to injury. Crack a book, asshole. If you have trouble reading, maybe your eyes are blocked. Try pulling your head out of your butt. Strongly worded letter to follow. Later

Are those 12 total bases by Lindor a record for most by a Met shortstop in one game? Jose Reyes hit three HR, but was he playing short in that game? Later

=Fman99 post_id=131037 time=1688713909 user_id=86] I hope they play this well on East Coast time. I'm missing real baseball

Every time I'm getting ready to count some of the Mets out (I'm thinking Canha and Marte), they get up off the canvas and do something to help win a game. Later

From SNY: Alvarez now has five game-tying or go-ahead home runs in the sixth inning or later this season, which is most in the majors. Now they're saying four. May 17: Álvarez hits a two-out, game-tying home run in the ninth inning in the Mets 8-7 (10 innings) win over the Tampa Bay Rays May 27: Álvarez hits a three-run homer in the sixth inning against the Colorado Rockies to tie the game at 6-6. New York eventually lost to the Rockies 7-10. July 4: Álvarez hits a go-ahead home run against the Diamondbacks in the top of the seventh inning. The long ball gave the Mets a 6-4 lead, and they went on to win 8-5 over Arizona. July 5: Álvarez hits a two-out, game-tying solo home run in the bottom of the ninth against Arizona. The Mets went on to score one more run in the top of the ninth and defeated the Diamondbacks 2-1. Later

Pete may be an All-star but he won't face Ohtani. He got a blister last night, so he won't be pitching. Later

I remember Dick 'The Blade" Hall - relief pitcher. He was tall and thin. I remember him as an Oriole but he also pitched for both Pennsylvania NL teams. RIP Later

I had read* that as hitters get older, they have a tough time against a variety of pitches.. So they concentrate on hitting one particular pitch (fastball, curve or slider) and swinging at it. It could be that he has decided that the slider is his pitch, but if he is having trouble hitting it, it might be the time to take up golf. Later * = one of the Brosnan books? Ball Four ?

I'm not sure if this will generate a lot of sales for a full uni with his name on the back.
