  1. Vientos homer was on a low breaking ball. Good news, he wasn't fooled by a low breaking ball. Not so good news, he chased a pitch out of the strike zone. Later
  2. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: Rocco Baldelli's not an ex-Met. I don't think his wife was either Didn't he coach in the organization for a while? Waitaminnit. I got him confused with another guy. Never mind. Later
  3. Ex- Met and current manager of the Twins Rocco Baldelli and his wife Allie welcomed twins to their family. https://www.mlb.com/twins/news/rocco-baldelli-wife-allie-welcome-twin-baby-boyshttps://www.mlb.com/twins/news/rocco-baldelli-wife-allie-welcome-twin-baby-boys How appropriate. OE: never mind. He was never a Met. Later
  4. Binghamton won last night 2-0 clinching the semis. Prospect Dominic Hamel: 7 2/3 IP, 3H, 2BB, 8K. The AA (Eastern League) Championship Series starts Sunday against Erie. It will be the Rumble Ponies' first appearance in the Championship Series since 2014. https://sny.tv/articles/dominic-hamel-dominant-start-binghamton-eastern-league-championship-series?fbclid=IwAR32FSVb6dyylNyD-q5QxLfL_tMTNmI4AQzlOYlmkQLD7WwgDusHsc1pIj0https://sny.tv/articles/dominic-hamel-dominant-start-binghamton-eastern-league-championship-series?fbclid=IwAR32FSVb6dyylNyD-q5QxLfL_tMTNmI4AQzlOYlmkQLD7WwgDusHsc1pIj0 Later

  6. I had eight Urinary Track Infections in one year. Then I married my boy friend and now we make something you can use to teat Urinary Tract Infections. Believe me. It works. Later
  7. NIMMO BOOM Trying to prove Bill James' "Players reach their power potential at 28-30" theory is correct. Later
  8. Down on the farm, the AA playoffs begin today, with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies playing the Somerset farm team of the MFYs. Many of the top prospects in each organization will be on display. https://metsmerizedonline.com/double-a-playoffs-series-preview-binghamton-mets-vs-somerset-yankees/https://metsmerizedonline.com/double-a-playoffs-series-preview-binghamton-mets-vs-somerset-yankees/ This one's for bragging rights, too. 9. Thanks. Inconclusive works for me. Later
  10. I was out, and checked the score mid game. It was 3-1 Fish and Soler had hit a two run homer. What happened? Was it reversed on review? Do I have to check my meds? Later
  11. Baseball reference shows: Butto is 1-2 3.46. Cabrera is 6-7 4.52. Later
  12. For a while I thought Goonies(1985) was a sequel to Gremlins(1984), and didn't want to see it. Then I saw the trailer for Goonies and definitely didn't want to see it. I somehow got coaxed into seeing it. Y'know what? I was right. There are some movies with child actors (Stand By Me) in which the child actors are likeable. This wasn't one of them. I loved Mannequin. Later
  13. After he's gone, I wonder what will happen to the random number generator Buck uses to produce his lineups? But this one actually looks logical. Later
  14. Last night, he went 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 9 K. Nice streak. Whatever he's been doing lately (and I hope it's legal) is working. Later
  15. I felt horrible that they sent my favorite Mets pitcher of all time to the Reds. But I'm glad they brought Al Jackson back to the organization and he stayed for many years. (who did you think I meant?) Later
  16. You CAN go home gain. The Mets have claimed former #1 pick Anthony Kay off waivers and optioned him to Syrause. https://www.si.com/mlb/mets/news/new-york-mets-claim-their-former-first-round-draft-pick-off-waivershttps://www.si.com/mlb/mets/news/new-york-mets-claim-their-former-first-round-draft-pick-off-waivers Later
  17. Thank you, Kase. when I accessed Baseball reference, it didn't give me the foreign option. Weird. Senga has pitched under 150 innings so far, but has pitched a similar number the last few years. It has ben a few years since he had 180 IP, so he may be OK without having to go on a six day rotation. Another question is, does Joey look like he should be part of the rotation next year? Later
  18. Edgy MD wrote: So do the Mets try to go with a six-man rotation for the rest of the way. I wanted to see if the extra rest would be beneficial to Senga. So I went to baseball reference to check how many innings per year he pitched in Japan. But baseball reference does not show any Japanese League statistics for him.(even when I clicked minors) Then I checked Masanori Murakami - none there either. They show Mexican League numbers, but consider them "AAA". I'm shocked and disappointed. Later
  19. A good story. Did he just "get it"? It will be fun to find out. Later
  20. Looks like Buck is going to let Adam finish up. I hope they don't need Garrett. Later

  23. From everything I've read about him, this seems to be a good move. Later
  24. Frayed Knot wrote: There's just ZERO faith that anyone on this entire team is going to come through with an important hit with a tying or go-ahead run on base. Nimmo coming up with an attempt to prove me wrong. We've had many discussions on the CPF as to whether or not there is something called "clutch". But are we allowed to use the word "choke" because that's what they seem to do. Has anyone seen performance (BAwRISP VS BA) numbers that might prove this? Later
