I'd like to see them go back to some flavor of the old option rule, under which you could only option/ recall a player one time (maybe two times) per year. The only reason (IMO) that they need so many reliever machinations is because the teams don't let starters pitch more than twice through the order any more (or X number of pitches). Since they do, there might have to be a modification to roster size, but this yo-yo stuff is a farce. Later

Hadn't seen this person before reading this thread. But from that picture, my first impression was of Sylvester Stallone in disguise in the movie Nighthawks". Later
Going off what A Boy Named Sao said, it looks like a men's softball tournament uni. The only thing missing is the beer belly. I vote Fugly, which is a contraction of fu**ing ugly. Well, it IS one step up from that White Sox shorts uni. Later
Every year, some pundits predict this will be the year for the ChiSox. And then they do an el-foldo. This year, they've started their descent a little earlier. My old co-worker Shoeless Don must be suffering. Later

Ah, yes. Bob Bailey - the first of the "bonus babies", about whom Dick Young wrote," On one hand he can't hit. On the other hand, he can't field, either". Later
65 quality appearances - 4-4 2.86 Not many blown saves and maybe 11 holds. We won't cringe when he is announced as coming into the game. Yeah, that's it. He's non cringeworthy. And when that's his place in the bullpen rotation, that's all we can ask. Later
Herzog was as a fleet centerfielder who I saw catch a fly ball next to/ behind the monuments in the original YS. And I first rooted for "Oisk" when he pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Somewhere in my house, I have the scorecard from one of his no-hitters. RIP to both of them. Later
Benjamin Grimm wrote: and the last time I watched them on TV, the guys in the booth were named Phil Rizzuto and Bill White. I heard Phils' first broadcast. It included him saying "There's a long fly ball" that was eventually caught by the shortstop. (He laughed it off saying the view from the press box was different form seeing it on the field.) Sterling carried on that MFY tradition. Later
