=Fman99 post_id=161223 time=1720032714 user_id=86] This is a mandolin, a smaller stringed instrument with eight strings tuned in pairs, in a G-D-A-E tuning. I also play the dulcimer and I have just recently ordered a bouzouki (it's in transit).

Oh, that Kiss. Not the Gene Simmons variety. Later

Mike started with no decision yesterday. His numbers: 6.0IP 7H 3R 3ER 1BB 3K His season ERA is now 6.34. Later

Why not let Butto pitch a third inning and save some bullpen arms? He's been a starter and the extra inning shouldn't be a problem. Later

I never saw him much, but does the new rule about staying in the batter's box have something to do with it? A guy who likes to step out between pitches could really have his timing wrecked by that. Just guessing. If there is nothing medical (e.g.- his eyes are going bad) it could be something like that. Butto back up to aid the bullpen (Scott starting Wednesday), Jay optioned to Syracuse. Later

Sounds funny to say but I hope that's what happened. Later

=Centerfield post_id=161075 time=1719941414 user_id=65] Did they say why he fainted?

Turk Wendell's 99 would be a nice number of wins by the end of the season. They just have to go 58-24 to get there. Later

Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: wait--why is Zimmo off According to Anthony DiComo, Nimmo slipped in his hotel room last night and cut his lead. Otherwise he's doing fine. Later

That's one of those embarrassing things that we can wince a bit, then laugh about and put behind us, like the 1962 season. Later

Well, looks like there won't be a need for a closer tonight unless some ninth inning magic happens. They used four relievers in a 7-2 win yesterday., and were left with what we saw tonight. Later

And I'm not sure if the bullpen will be ready after yesterday's game. Lots of arms were used. Megill needs to eat some innings today. Later

Smith has "significant elbow damage". TJ surgery being considered. Later

The more I read the Honeycutt comparisons, the more I think of Rob Deer. I guess, as you said, that is becoming more and more like the profile of many current players. Later

Did anybody ask what happened to the old camera in the mezzanine behind home plate? I'd still rather see that view than the imposed box on shots from a camera in center field. Later

You basic garden variety backup catcher. I didn't expect much from him and he barely met those expectations. Later

Mike won his start today, raising his record to 3-4. His numbers: 6.0IP 6H 3R 3ER 0BB 5K and his ERA dropped to 6.52. Later

What a whining child. And doing it make him classless, too. He doesn't even deserve to be in the same booth as them. Later
