  1. Just saw on MLB.com that Vientos is the ONLY Met with multiple walkoff homers as a third baseman. Later
  2. Key seems to be sensitive, bordering on touchy, about a lot of things. Later
  3. The Mets have announced that Jeff McNeil left tonight's game with a right wrist contusion and he will undergo testing tomorrow. Later
  4. Benjamin Grimm wrote: And yeah, Megill going twice against the Phillies and once against the Braves isn't really ideal. You are the master of the understatement. Larer
  5. Mike has reverted to bad form tonight. Game's still on, Syracuse down 10-3 in the 7th. Looks like he's heading for the loss. His numbers: 3.1IP 8H 7R 7ER 4BB 3K 1HR His season's ERA is up to 5.90 UGH! Later
  6. (Channeling Fman) There isn't a red hot sandpaper dildo big enough to f**K him with. Later
  7. From Metsmerized.com: The Mets also added an outfielder to the 40-man roster when they claimed José Azócar off waivers from the Padres. To make room on the 40-man, the Mets moved right-handed reliever Sean Reid-Foley from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list. Later
  8. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=168919 time=1725562520 user_id=68] Between Lindor unslumping himself and Vientos' promotion, it's as if the Mets replaced two rock-bottom dreadful players (early-season Lindor and Baty) with two MVP-caliber players.
  9. White Sox up 6-1 over Baltimore in the fifth. Later
  10. It might be time to merge this into the "DT is a political outrage" thread. Later
  11. He even lied about deaths of service members during his tenure to the families: https://www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump-busted-recycling-lie-in-tiktok-with-gold-star-families?ref=home?ref=homehttps://www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump-busted-recycling-lie-in-tiktok-with-gold-star-families?ref=home?ref=home Just when you think he can't go lower, he does. Later
  12. Good for you, Sandy. And I hope you can get more of your fellow Marines to agree with you. Semper Fi! Later
  13. He had only played outfield for the Phillies, but played third base for the Mets, when the position was still suffering from the Don Zimmer effect. RIP Later
  14. Both worked, good job. I love the Cards announcers reluctantly saying what a good play it was. Later
  15. David Peterson worked so hard, I don't know if he has breath left to blow out the candles on his birthday cake. Happy Birthday, David. Later
  16. Shouldn't this be in the baseball forum? Later
  17. Should I be trying to fit those words into September, by Earth, Wind and Fire? They don't really fit. What song is it? Later
  18. =Fman99 post_id=168729 time=1725456040 user_id=86] Having an emotional attachments to a bad Mets team from 62 years ago seems a bit daffy to me.
  19. Sproat got his first win in AAA on Sunday to even his record at 1-1. His numbers:: 5.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, His ERA is now 6.75. Later
  20. Oh NOOOO, Mr. Bill. Not Omaha. Later
  21. My longtime friend's screen name is "Shoeless Don" and he's a lifelong ChiSox fan. I'm not sure if I should call him when they "break" the Mets record or if I should wait for his call . Later
  22. Are the Mets one of those seven teams? Later
  23. The thread title made me think the game was at Fenway, and I wondered why Vientos isn't playing. The game is at Citi Field. But I'm not thrilled that Vientos isn't in the lineup, especially with Martinez unavailable. Later
  24. Report: Alex Ramirez had a double down the left field line his first at bat and tried to pull every other pitch he saw. Jett Williams is SHORT, not just short for a ball player, but short for a mammal. He looked overmatched buy 88 -90 MPH pitches, especially up in the zone. His glove seemed ok. Kevin Parada was the most impressive bats if the ranked prospects I saw. He hit the ball hard in 3 of 4 AB. Clark Clifford, the player I was really there to see, didn't do anything to catch my eye, but he didn't look terrible at the plate. My daughter's friend's son, my adoptee Trey McLaughlin didn't pitch, but we had a nice discussion with his mother. The most impressive Rumble Pony was relief pitcher Wilkin Ramos. He's tall and very thin, but had excellent stuff. You might start hearing about him next year. Later
  25. Well, there goes the chance to meet in Hartford. Have fun. Later
