  1. No in the Wite Sox trade we gave up a catcher and got a pitcher. The pitcher's name was more remarkable than his pitching was.

I'd almost put his whole 2nd term away till this kwiz reminded me 2004: Cardinals Roger Cedeno for Wilson Delgado 2006: Royals Bannister for Burgos 2008: Twins -- Johan Santana for Humber etc 2009: White Sox 2013: Rockies 2015: 2015: Tigers -- Cespedes for Cessa and Fulmer
  3. We shipped a one-time hot pitching prospect to a West Coast team for a relief pitcher during Spring training. That relief pitcher was remembered for something more than his pitching. The guy we traded had brief appearances with the team we traded him to, and the Cubs.
  4. 2004: Cardinals 2006: Royals Bannister-Burgos 2008: Twins -- Johan Santana 2009: White Sox 2013: Rockies 2015: 2015: Tigers -- Cespedes Hints -- The Missing 2015 trade was a spring training deal where we dealt a minor league prospect for a relief pitcher with a distinctive characteristic. 2004 Cardinal trade rid the Mets of a guy I couldn't wait to get rid of even though we got nothing significant in return 2009 White Sox trade was a catcher for a pitcher 2013 Rockies trade was a fringey pitcher with an unexpectedly long career ahead for a speedster
  5. 2004: Cardinals 2006: Royals 2008: Twins -- Johan Santana 2009: White Sox 2013: Rockies 2015: 2015: Tigers -- Cespedes
  6. correct! 2004: Cardinals 2006: Royals 2008: Twins -- Johan Santana 2009: White Sox 2013: Rockies 2015: 2015: Tigers Moved the Tigers deal down to indicate the other 2015 trade happened prior to the Tigers deal. Also, no one will remember that one anyway You may now begin guessing who was in these trades
  7. 10th rounder is RHP Tyler McLaughlin of Georgia, who is a graduate student and prolly doesn't have a lot of leverage
  8. White Sox last deal was in 2009 but was guessed already.
  9. We traded Tommy Pham to the Dbacks in 2023 The last Boston trade was Addison Reed for 3 shitty relievers in 2017
  10. We traded JD Davis to SF in 2022
  11. Ninth-rounder Anthony Frobose is a Rutgers commit from Yorktown Heights, N.Y. Shortstop and pitcher.
  12. 2004: 2006: Royals 2008: Twins 2009: White Sox 2013: Rockies 2015: Tigers 2015:
  13. Rays was about most recent: The Big Jose Siri trade Braves-Mets last traded in 2016 (Akeel Morris for Kelly Johnson)
  14. Round 8 is Camden Lohman, a lanky high school pitcher from Missouri. This so far is the only guy they picked whose MLB prospect ranking is lower than the selection (pick 253, ranked 220 by MLB)
  15. Yup, that's part 2 of the quiz
  16. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: FUCKING TWINS TOOK BRUIN AGBAYANI That's not right for them to do. I feel a disturbance in the Force. Later Yankees took Kaeden Kent
  17. 2004: 2006: Royals 2008: Twins 2009: 2013: 2015: 2015: We traded Jason Vargas for a Phillies minor-leaguer in 2019. Last substantial deal between them was the Asbubal Cabrera-Franklyn Kilome trade in 2018 We did the Joely Rodriguez-Miguel Castro trade with the MFYs in 2022
  18. 7th rounder is RHP Cam Tilly of Auburn who was considered a big name coming out of high school but seems to have stalled
  19. Guy On The Internet describes 6th rounder, Central Missouri righthander Nathan Hall, as an "out of the way draft eligible sophomore former two-way who barely pitched in college and has a weird af fastball and feel for spin."
  20. FUCKING TWINS TOOK BRUIN AGBAYANI
  21. Round 5 is a college reliever who had Tommy John last week, Payton Prescott. Mets are obviously saving their bullets here.
  22. This sounds like a movie I wouldn't want to watch.
  23. We selecetd a 6-5 high school RHP, Peter Kussow, in round 4 Wisconsin's best prospect this year, Kussow flies under the radar more than he should. Like a lot of prep pitchers from cold-weather states, he lacks consistency, but he also looks like he belongs in the third round on his best days. He has the makings of a promising three-pitch repertoire and a projectable 6-foot-5 frame. Kussow works with a low-90s fastball that tops out at 97 mph with some carry and armside run. He can overpower hitters with a high-spin slider that climbs as high as 88 mph with two-plane break. He hasn't needed to use it much, but his mid-80s changeup has encouraging fade and depth. Kussow's size and ability to get down the mound well create a low release point and extension that make it difficult for hitters to pick up his pitches. He doesn't have the smoothest delivery, which further adds to his deception, though it also can compromise his ability to throw strikes. If he doesn't turn pro this summer, he could become one of the best college pitchers in the 2028 class after three years at Louisville.
  24. One at a time, no double-dipping, name the seven teams we haven't made a trade with in 10 years or more. 2004: 2006: 2008: 2009: 2013: 2015: 2015:
  25. If we don't sign Bruin Agbayani I'm gonna become a fan of the team that does. [bLOCKQUOTE]Bruin Agbayani, SS, St. Louis HS (No. 234) The son of five-year Major Leaguer Benny, the younger Agbayani was the Gatorade Player of the Year for his state and got to prove his bonafides in this year's MLB Draft Combine High School Game in Arizona. His 106 mph triple to right-center backed up the notion that he has at least gap pop right now, though it's a bat-over-power profile overall. The Michigan commit is an above-average runner but faces questions about his future position.[/bLOCKQUOTE] Jeff Kent's son Kaeden Kent, SS, Texas A&M, also in the pool Desi Relaford's son Jevin Relaford, SS, Florida Southern Isaac Lyon, RHP, Grand Canyon, son of Brandon Lyon
