Well yeah. But losing Muffy was a choice they pretty much chose to make

Always had five o'clock shadow. Not a bad player and good second prize in the Zobrist sweeps.

It's impossible to judge fly balls (and some other plays) via the tv, not to mention the delay seems a little shorter too. Beat writers in the park would likewise get us better between game coverage too

Sandy etc all looking like evil genius getting both Almora and Pillar. Soto injury and the Phils utter lack of a CF loom large

I was excited about Pelfrey too. One thing I remember about Bruce was he had an awesome, Mike Jacobs-like first week or two as an MLBer, looked like he was gonna be a superstud but turned out only to be a semi-stud

I'm into the Giants. I feel like they are a somewhat unique org that doesn't do everything that everyone else is doing, to their success or detriment. Also, good surrounding culture, broadcasting, ballpark, city etc. I used to hate them a little but that was 20 years ago and there's so many more hateable franchises today, seems like.

I'll tip my hat to Jay Bruce for a decent career. He was what he was, you knew what you were getting with him. He wasn't ever not Jay Bruce
