    The Islanders-Capitals game had some good violence last night. Our defenseman Aho got boarded pretty bad. Pelech got 4 for repeatedly cross-checking a guy right in front of the ref-- he probably earned 8--and Wahlstrom drew a game misconduct in an attempt to avenge the boarding when he threw his stick to the ice and straight out tackled the offender on open ice. Isles won, they have a good chance to qualify as the best team not to make the playoffs this year. 👍

    Even when he wasn't the best pitcher in baseball, I admired his dull, laconic, gum-chewing demeanor -- which is a good thing to have if you're a starting pitcher without elite stuff trying to make it. He's also like, big and tall, probably has retard strength, so its not impossible that he's quietly found something more. I'm sure he'll have a few games this year where he'll look like a AAAA guy but given the great head start: 13-8, 3.77
