5. I was thinking about that while that turn was going on. It looked like a hard decision was coming but Jeff said fuck that. I guess it's true. If you get a strike for a clock violation and strike out, it played a role in that whiff.

8. Overall a good opening day, other than the Braves Dodgers and Yankees winning.
9. Little disappointed not to get something there
10. DVRed until last inning when I caught up live. Now I feel like I can post about how awesome Omar Narvaez is.
11. I'm iffy for the first 3 innings. Have the dvr set in case of emergency
12. Pretty good opening day video, despite the inexcusable lack of Mets content:
13. The commish is retiring and no one picked up the ball.

16. McFadden's was a wreck, especially since it began as a place with men's room attendants. Is the Wilpon-owned Brewey on the other corner to open? Good reporting, Rogers.

18. I don't know about you guys but I feel like I had a shitty spring training. I hardly saw any games, the heart of the order went away to play a tournament, I didn't really live and die on the battles since no positions were really up for grabs and the bullpen only became a thing once Diaz got hurt. I was surprised when listening to the final innings of the game on the radio yesterday that that was the last game of spring training, and that real baseball started on Thursday. *This* Thursday. I didn't have a fantasy draft to attend to. I only made a halfhearted attempt to keep up with the Skidoo threads. What I'm saying is as a fan I'm not in shape. If it were possible, I'd be cut as a fan. Maybe extended spring training.
