Thats because I'm not procastinating with my homework on a computer with an internet connection!

  6. Thought I'd re-institute JD's IGT Mojo with my current 1-0 streak in Atlanta and here is a song going back to 1986 that forshadows the 2006 theme Here is the Long Island Balladeer, William Martin Joel We walked on the beach beside that old hotel They're tearing it down now But it's just as well I haven't shown you everything a man can do So stay with me baby I've got plans for you This is the time to remember Cause it will not last forever These are the days To hold on to Cause we won't Although we'll want to This is the time But time is gonna change You've given me the best of you And now I need the rest of you Did you know that before you came into my life It was some kind of miracle that I survived Some day we will both look back And have to laugh We lived through a lifetime And the aftermath This is the time to remember Cause it will not last forever These are the days To hold on to Cause we won't Although we want to This is the time But time is gonna change I know we've got to move somehow But I don't want to lose you know Sometimes it's so easy To let a day Slip on by Without even seeing each other at all But this is the time you'll turn back and so will I And those will be the days you can never recall And so we embrace again Behind the dunes This beach is cold On winter afternoons But holding you close is like holding the summer sun I'm warm from the memory of days to come This is the time to remember Cause it will not last forever These are the days To hold on to But we won't Although we'll want to This is the time But time is gonna change You've given me the best of you But now I need the rest of you
  7. ]1. Nobody cares how many posts you have. I meant it as a joke ]2. Endeavoring to up your post total is a good way to get asked to leave. 3. It makes a mess of the threads and discourages others from participating. While you were throwing up 20 posts an hour, other people were leaving. 4. Please contribute when you have something to add to the discussion. When you don't, don't. It was mostly PBP of the game, I didn't think I was doing anything too out of line
  8. Zvon wrote: ="metirish"]I am amazed how the guys keep talking about how this is a huge win for the mets, yeah after the first inning Pedro was brilliant and the pen was great but a huge win...I don't know about that...Willie looked pumped after the win.... Well, it is kinda big taking the 1st game in any series. If there was even a hint of pressure (The Braves/Turner Field and all), its no longer a factor. Braves can reel off the next two and just be turnin their wheels in the sand. It wasnt a HUGE game-if we lost we are okay--but I was a big win in that sense. Love this, that was the largest crowd in ATL Brave history! Hey Atlanta, I like the fact that you think this is a big series and all, and quite encouraging for future seasons, but reverse the two teams, I'd wager you'd be stretching to say 33 thousand show up at Shea. Its a Friday night, late July, you are barely on the cusp of the Wild Card race, let alone the divisional race and THATS the biggest crowd of the year? Lets do a comparison 2004, the Mets fancied themselves as being in a race at this same time and played the Braves in a weekend set at Shea before heading to Montreal and back to Atlanta for the series that ended Jim Duquette and Art Howe's tenure at Shea At conclusion of games of July 25, 2004 Eastern Division W L Pct. GB Streak Last 10 Atlanta Braves 52 45 .536 -- W-3 7-3 Philadelphia Phillies 52 46 .531 0.5 W-2 6-4 Florida Marlins 48 50 .490 4.5 L-3 3-7 NEW YORK METS 47 50 .485 5.0 L-3 3-7 Montreal Expos 37 61 .378 15.5 W-4 6-4 Mets got swept that night and drew 33,166 and 32,542 respectivly for those two games. If fans see a team as a pretender, even if management thinks its a pretender, they are going to treat the team as a pretender.
  9. 900 DAMN POSTS! Okay, Billy get the job done, I'll listen on my way homeward Later
  10. So a loss tonight shuts the Braves up, you should be watching whos BEHIND you, not IN FRONT when you are 12 back!
  11. Marlins right now are tied for 2nd with the Braves
  12. Zvon wrote: ="Edgy DC"]This hurts the Braves at two levels. Chipper's absence is an obvious detriment, but they were also dangling Betemit --- who they now need as Chipper's replacement --- as the bait for a deadline deal. very good and insightful point. MWHAHAHAHA!
  13. Looks like Ty was going for a soul patch and it threw up on him!
  14. Old Friend, Tyler Yates on the mound for the Braves
  15. 6 more outs and I get my 7th (or 8th depending on if you want to call my handles one and the same) IGT win of the year!
  16. 2 outs in the top of 9th in South Beach, 4-1 Fish
  17. MFY Wang complete game shutout, no Triple Happiness tonight
