Johnny Dickshot wrote:No moves made to address the 6-man rotation as yet.On the WFAN broadcast, Gary and Howie said that they expect Seo-Pedro-Glavine in the Phillies series, and then quite possibly Zambrano as the starter in the first game against the Marlins (due to his past successes against the Marlins). So I guess this means the 6 man rotation is still alive? Presumably Trachsel and Benson would finish up the series against the Marlins -- only other choice would be to start Seo again for the final game.

  3. Washington defeats St. Louis 4-1.Milwaukee up 3-0 on Atlanta, 7th, thanks in large part to Met-killer Carlos Lee's 2-run jack.
  4. Jeromy Burnitz grounds into a double play to end it. Cubs got the tying run to the plate in the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th but couldn't get any more runs. 7-5 Marlins, Final.
  5. 7. Marlins win 3-1 in the 10th. Damn.
  8. David Weathers strikes out Jose Guillen (up as the tying run) to seal the Cincy victory/Washington loss. Also in the ex-Met dept., Kane Davis has resurfaced as a reliever for the Brewers. Still 1-1 going to the 9th.
  9. Marlins get runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out but Doug Davis strikes out LoDuca and then gets Lowell to ground out on the 10th pitch of the at-bat.Still tied 1-1, 7th inning stretch.

Beenso wrote:its free for season ticket holders and ticket package holders. its a good thing for season ticket holders to get rid of tickets that would otherwise be wasted. as far as the 30% mark-up, oh well, at least u know your'e getting good seats .Actually, that's called ticket scalping and it's disgusting and immoral. In fairness, if the season ticket holders sell their tickets through this system, they get 90% of the selling price applied to their 2006 ticket order...so a small markup to have them not lose money is appropriate. More than that shouldn't be allowed.
  14. Got an email from the Mets about this last night.Apparently they are starting a new ticket service in which full-season ticket holders can resell their "club" seats to the public through the website.Tickets can be sold for up to a 30% markup, with an additional 10% fee to the buyer. "Membership" is free for 2005, which seems to me to indicate they're going to charge an additional fee to use in next year. From what I can tell:Good:--> Opens up club seats to non-season ticket holders--> Don't have to deal with the seller -- the Mets issue you the tickets and you can pick them up at Will-call.Bad:--> Sanctioned ticket scalping--> Membership fees to browse the marketplace? In addition to the 10% service charge?

Whoop all you want, act like a moron trying to get an intern to throw you a T-shirt, whatever. But once the ball's in play, it's game on.Amen.I am actually thinking of writing a complaint letter. At least twice during the game tonight there was a "Do the Wave" graphic on the Diamondvision. DURING AN INNING!!! I couldn't believe it.
  22. ScarletKnight41 wrote:I can live with kids doing the wave. I can also live with kids who get into the bogus animated scoreboard races between innings.Fortunately, the latter has now disappeared from Shea. The "guess which hat the ball is under" still lives on.
