  1. 6-run defecit, I think we have to either put Julio back out or use Bradford. Save Heilman for the important innings.
  2. ScarletKnight41 wrote: Julio's pitching - Willie has officially given up on this game. I don't think that's true.
  3. I'd like to see a Pinch Hitter for Hernandez.
  4. Ohka's gettting tired. We can get him here.
  5. Cliff brings the tying run to the plate. Seems like the Mets haven't been very patient at the plate today, with the exception of Floyd, whose seeen a lot of pitches today. Nicely done Cliff.
  6. Wright Sac Fly gets us another. Still need 2 more.
  7. Oliver still looking solid. 3-4-5 due up. RALLY TIME!
  8. With him due up 2nd, I think that's the end of Trachsel's afternoon. 96 pitches.
  9. Brewers 7-8-9 is 5-6 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Now, Prince Fielder is one thing. But Chad Moeller is a career .231 hitter, and Tomo Ohka is a career .156 hitter. I'd like to think Steve could get THOSE guys out.
  10. I last did this in the spring of 2003. It was a cool night, Cone started and Eric Gagne broke Burnitz' hand with a pitch. Back then, I showed up at maybe 6:00. With the team playing like they do, and the opponent the Braves...I'd say 5:15, but that's an unscientific opinion.
  11. EDIT: No, 2nd game I think. The 4/9 game vs. the Marlins they scored first.
  12. Damn, Steve, the guy is a .231 career hitter. You couldn't get HIM out?
  13. To build CAHNfidence. Real answer: to keep the rest of the lineup as much the same as possible. Ya don't mess with stuff when you've won 8 in a row.
  14. Max pts to one guy is six. Ya gotta edit. Glavine 6 Sanchez 1 Wagner 1 Delgado .75 Nady .75 Lo Duca .5
  15. Good guys win epic battle.
  16. They had Bradford warming but no sign of the Sandman yet.
  17. They're "pitching" to Lee. Essentially the intentional pass unless he wants to swing at something here. EDIT: at 2-0 count, they made it intentional in name too.
  18. C'mon Duaner, let's give Jenkins the golden sombrero.
  19. Heilman warming in the pen.
  20. 11 Ks against the Rockies on 9/29/05. 12 is the career high.
  21. Ah, they're playing the scene from Network for the "Let's Go Mets" bit. Wish I was there. Bases loaded for Delgado.
  22. 94 pitches, but I think he hits and gets 1 more inning.
  23. Edgy DC wrote: Gwrek posting from the joint. I wish. Friend at the game sending the occasional text message.
  24. Report from Shea: "High Comedy in the stands tonight. BIG fight. Asshole Yankee fan and idiot wearing shorts and Weeks jersey."
  25. Diaz single leaves Valentin as the only non-pitcher hitless Met.
