  1. I didn't even need to see this game (except for the Castro blast, which happened exactly was I was passing the TV in the MSG concourse while at the Police concert -- what timing!) to know that Willie should never be allowed to put Marlon Anderson in centerfield.

  4. That was in reference to LoDuca, not Gotay. Gotay was set to hit earlier but was pulled back for Newhan.
  5. Wow, I don't think I've ever seen one in the Upper Deck in Miller Park. Not even during the HR derby in 2002.
  6. Ryan Braun has come up big in clutch situations for us tonight.
  7. Could we get the in-park sniper to pick off that guy behind home plate, on his cell phone, trying to get up and wave each time a pitch is thrown? Wait...you mean they don't have one for such things? Well, they should.

  9. I forget the rule, who gets charged with the walk if Moises winds up taking two more out of the strike zone? Wise or Shouse?
  10. Hall won the last Mets-Brewers game at Miller Park on a walkoff. Only HR Bradford gave up last year.
  11. Ha. Gary just said that walking Braun and bringing in Schoeneweis was "an option." No, Gary, it's NOT.
  12. Eight feet in front. Francisco Cordero in to pitch for the Brewers, one inning only. No double switch.
  13. metsguyinmichigan wrote: As for all the fans cheering Hall's hit. When that happened at Comerica for the Clemens game, my buddy Will said "What are you cheering about? Yea! We DIDN'T get to see history?" Right, except for it tying the game, and the pennant race they're in?
  14. Sosa was warming in the pen that inning. I wonder if we see Brian Lawrence on Thursday.
  15. Chad Fairchild does not impress as an umpire, even if that call helped us.
  16. Willets Point wrote: On the other hand not everyone can see the game because MLB.TV blacks out national broadcasts. I'll be stuck listening to the radio. You don't get cable but you have an internet connection fast enough to see the game on MLB.tv?
  17. The bright side: everybody can see Glavine's next attempt. National broadcast on ESPN, Sunday night. The downside: Jon Miller and Joe Morgan.
  18. Or Chad Cordero. Or Chad FREAKIN Bradford.
  19. metsguyinmichigan wrote: Not Mota! NOOOOOOOOOOO You would have preferred Schoeneweis?
  20. Johnny Dickshot wrote: The Verizon Fios kid = Back over him in the driveway please. Eh. Kinda like him, although the other ad where he says "nice truck" is funnier. I'm also partial to it because if we should ever get Fios in this neighborhood I'm switching away from Time Warner (those bastards) in an instant.
  21. Indeed. He lost the sling a couple of days ago but it still looks like he might not be able to signal for a righty.
  22. Mota and Feliciano are getting ready. Edit: Gary suggests Feliciano is getting ready for Fielder.
