  1. I'll come down to the beltway and give you a hug i think you are confusing me with someone else?
  2. Drive home safely. I'm calling it today.
  3. Francoeur off of Wagner, how perfect is that?
  4. thanks, Valdez (and jerry).
  5. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Niese's big advantage that I can see is his wonderful date of birth. I also like that he was born in a city that sounds like it could be in Peru. wow, suprised i never saw that before. we need to find out a delivery time, could Niese have come out just as Orosco's glove was being thrown into the air?
  6. Reyes on 1st with the winning run, 2 outs, and a guy who can't hit the ball more than 90 feet at the plate... is there anyone who DOESNT know he is running there?

    I Give Up

  9. I think Dickey tried to get the umpire to tell Jerry the talk was over and send him back to the dugout! fire jerry.
  10. jerry pulls Dickey, who was adamant about staying in the game, you could lip-read "bullshit" from him
  11. to the warning track...oliver perez sneaks out of that one... he still sucks ass
  12. ollie bobbles the easy doubleplay ball, only gets 1... will walk the bases loaded to get to the pinch-hitter Drew
  13. But it seems more that the Mets' aches are self-inflicted self-inserted, to use Cora's uncomfortable metaphor. The bats have completely vanished on the road trip The difference between getting shut down by great pitchers (Lincecum, Zito) and being in a batting slump is solely the degree to which the writer wants a positive/negative spin on the team in his article.
  14. I read that the family might have been forced to sell the team to pay he death tax if The Boss hadn't passed away in the one year where it doesn't exist (45% last year, 55% next year, non-existant this year, awfully unfair to everyone no matter what you think of the tax in general)
  15. Benjamin Grimm wrote: He seemed like a nice guy. Too bad he spent his life in the service of evil. The Yankees or The Church?
  16. 8 stranded in 4 innings for the braves, lets stop allowing baserunners before bad things happen
  17. CBSSportsline had a blurb about him today Lucas Duda, 1B NYM News: It is time to consider Lucas Duda (pronounced dude-uh), a seventh-round pick out of Southern California in 2007 by the Mets, a legit outfield prospect now. He has hit six homers in his past eight games for Triple-A Buffalo. Analysis: Duda is now a scorching .294 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 11 runs, 0 steals, a .372 on-base percentage and .706 slugging percentage in Triple-A. If you add his Double-A numbers before his mid-June promotion, he is a combined .288-13-54-41-1 (.400-.563). He has an impressive strikeout-to-walk rate of 1-to-1 going, too, fanning just 38 times in 229 at-bats. That is a reasonable rate for a developing slugger and at 6-feet-5, 240 pounds, Duda definitely has legit power now. His lower-level doubles are becoming homers and his strikeout rate is declining. Consider him a long-term keeper-league flier now as a potential corner outfielder.
  18. YOU DONT RUN ON FRANCOEUR'S ARM!!!!
  19. SHIT... pelf almost got around the umpire's bullshit but they get to him with 2 outs to drive in 2 more
  20. i think the umpires gave him ALOT of rope there, they knew he had to come yell when a call got overturned against him
  21. BULLSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
  22. The uniform does seem to be a match from the Kranepool photo it looks like he's wearing a different hat or maybe a batting helmet in the umpire photo, but not in the kranepool photo. the brim isn't a different shade than the top of the hat in that photo as it is in the other.
