Not sure if I buy the Stroman-Mets-disinterest slant being thrown around on some fronts. I think there's a pecking order to these things and right now the pecking is on Max. Watch if they don't land him and then sign Stro' everyone's gonna be all they settled for second best option. I want Stro' back either way the Max things go (just for posting posterity sake)

=seawolf17 post_id=81938 time=1638191917 user_id=91] IF this happens, and IF deGrom is healthy, holy shit at the top of this rotation next year. (We're going to play .400 baseball because the other three starters will still be terrible, but hey, whaddya gonna do.)

I have tepid interest in Max for 3 years. I don't care about the salary or how much money will be left in anyone's coffers after paying him. The second half or two thirds of that three years could be quite miserable.

I don't know about Scherzer, in the back of my mind I could see him coming here and being all Tom Glavine ll or something...

Steve is unhappy this morning: https://twitter.com/StevenACohen2/status/1463505594887852032 And, ya know, he's been in the baseball for decades and has seen some shit.

If they throw Matz a big chunk before Stro' the Stroman people are gonna laugh and say thanks for raising the bar on our guy. Cha-ching!!

Where's Carnac The Metsnificent these days, one wonders... Whiffle, Rats and Who??? -
Eight different offers and if the Mets are maybe a ninth seems a little dramatic. If he's our 5th starter, whatever. Can't see throwing any big money at him and doubt eight other teams would too but who knows.

That's pretty funny.

I haven't voted yet, but surprised Broom/Tolls has zero votes? -
Huzzah!

I'm sure the Mets would be better off if they'd put their boats in a row.
-
And where do these things come from anyways, they don't have a 'front office' in place yet.

Gosh, no

Like the NFL wants to share spotlight time with MLB.

=Ceetar post_id=81373 time=1637267301 user_id=102]As part of that, agree to air the awards show during halftime of the 4pm game on November 21st or whatever.
-
Which has nothing to do with an MVP show aired during the WS, of course.
-
=Ceetar post_id=81366 time=1637263544 user_id=102]Hell, tell Fox as part of the WS Deal you gotta air a 30 minutes half-time show of the MVP unveiling during a Sunday game in November.
