    Generally, an acquiring team these days will insist on manufacturer certified pre-owned (CPO) that has been rigorously inspected and reconditioned and meets specific criteria allowing extended selling- team-backed warranty and other benefits. Things have become quite complicated these days.

    Well, I'd rather they'd go back in the box and get rid of the ghost runner and some other little silly things. But no, they'd rather focus on lining the maga pockets of racetrack owners with gimmicky things like this instead of keeping baseball baseball. Put it together and whatya got? Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo... (I know, it's actually boogity, boogity, boogity)

    Mike Rodriguez reports that the Mets are calling up infielder Ronny Mauricio from Triple-A Syracuse. Mark Vientos suffered a hamstring injury on Monday night that Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said “didn’t look good.” With reports that Mauricio is coming up, it would seem likely that Vientos could end up on the injured list. Mauricio is hitting .515/.564/.818 in nine games at Triple-A with three home runs, eight RBI, and a 5/5 K/BB ratio. He missed all of last season with a torn ACL and has not yet played back-to-back games in the minors, so it’s unlikely to has an everyday role right away. He had 23 home runs and 24 steals in 116 games at Triple-A in 2023 with a .292/.346/.506 slash line and has played both second base and third base at Triple-A. With Jared Young being the primary DH against righties and Brett Baty playing third base, it seems likely that Mauricio starts off in a short-side platoon. -- NBC SPORTS

    Yeah, that too. I think eHost, JustHost, BlueHost and now iHost are really all the same company but broken up for tax, accounting or some regulatory reasons. I visited QWK.net the other day and see they're still going strong. Then I remembered their phpBB support was either not-so-great and maybe even non-existent. I don't remember exactly.
