  1. Is this the measurement that m.e.t.b.o.t. uses in Schaefer voting?
  2. So far so good for Niese. One walk, one hit, 41 pitches through 3 innings.

  4. RBI single by Duda plates Nieuwenhuis in the first. Now it's the bottom second, Mets still up 1-0.
  5. Is there a way that they can make Keith Hernandez 30 years younger?
  6. Ceetar wrote: well, Ike Davis is the obvious answer. Yeah, I know, but it just seems so... unfathomable.
  7. Is Gorkys considered a top prospect? I had never heard of him until yesterday.
  8. Did Ike Davis sneeze on him?
  9. Ideally, when one guy slumps, somebody else steps up. Who would do that for the Mets? Murphy has pretty much been shadowing Wright (he's hitting .329 in May so far) so he can only step it up so much. Who does that leave? I suppose Duda, Torres, Nieuwenhuis. Not a whole lot to pin our hopes on.
  10. Right. I figure his demotion has become inevitable (unless he goes on a surprising tear in the next few days) but it will take the return of Tejada or Bay (whichever comes first) to trigger that. Who would have thought it would come to this? METS DEMOTE TEAM HR-LEADER IKE TO MAKE ROOM FOR BAY
  11. Baxter 0.75 Byrdak 0.5 Dickey 5 Duda 1.5 Francisco 1 Nickeas 1.25
  12. Voting for Monday night's loss in Pittsburgh will close on Thursday morning. This game is also low on votes. If you still want to chime in, please try to do so today. Schaefer POTG 5/21/12 - Pirates 5, Mets 4
  13. He would probably see them as a source of energy.
  14. A 3.47 ERA looks awfully good. It would be the second best ERA in the Mets starting rotation. Johan Santana: 3.24 R. A. Dickey: 3.75 Jon Niese: 4.85 Dillon Gee: 5.44

  16. Byrdak 0.3 Cedeno 1 Parnell 0.3 Santana 1 Turner 1.5 Wright 1
  17. And the Mets could be there too before the week is done.
  18. Voting for the three games played in Toronto over the weekend will close on Wednesday morning. Voting is particularly light for the May 19 and May 20 games, but they'll close tomorrow anyway. If you'd still like to vote, please do so today. Schaefer POTG, 5/18/2012: Blue Jays 14 Mets 5 Schaefer POTG 5/19/12 - Blue Jays 2, Mets 0 Schaefer POTG, 05/20/2012. Mets 6, Toronto 5
  19. I think you have to put in a request, and the Mets just never did that.
  20. I saw an article in the paper about luxurious showers that allow you to lie down while you're showering. So does this mean that people want to lie down in the shower but stand in the MRI, but don't want to stand in the shower or lie down in the MRI?
  21. I kind of wonder that too. Is he better off playing every day in Buffalo, or taking it easy for two or three weeks?
