  1. Murphy chased a foul pop down the right field line and caught it with his back to the plate. Whirled and threw home to gun down the runner who tagged and tried to score from third.
  2. I thought it was gonna be caught, but it hit the ground and skipped back to the wall.
  3. Not quite a three-run homer, but I'll take it!
  4. Duda up with two out and two on. One big swing could put us back into this ballgame.
  5. Now it's 4-0. Dickey might as well head out for his book signing.
  6. My attention wandered for a bit, and now I see that the Reds have a 2-0 lead. Runners on second and third, none out in the fifth.
  7. I'm missing Keith Hernandez and Darryl Strawberry and Gary Carter.
  8. Davis gets it to the warning track in left center. Murphy holds at first.
  9. Murphy reaches first. Don't know if that was a hit or an error. Votto dove to his right, got the glove on the ball and knocked it down. Threw to first, but Murphy beat the throw by a narrow margin.
  10. Yikes! Votto crushes a home run off the Pepsi Porch. (Or close to it anyway.) 1-0 Reds.
  11. Wright walks, Duda strikes out. The Mets have ended each of the first three inning striking out with a runner in scoring position.
  12. Nieuwenhuis steals second. Strange how SNY has a camera angle that shows a cable going vertically down the center of the screen when they're showing a right-handed batter from the first-base side. Can't the camera guy even manage to get a good seat?
  13. Kirk with a two-out single in the third. I'm hoping David Wright doesn't bunt here.
  14. Another quick inning for Dickey. Through three innings, one hit, 38 pitches.
  15. Nickeas strikes out. Mets end each of the first two innings striking out with a runner on third.
  16. Cedeno bunts for the second out. Murphy stands at third watching.
  17. Murphy to third as Davis flies to right. Am I the only one watching?
  18. Murphy gets his double leading off the second. Will he wait there until there are two outs, and then attempt to steal third?
  19. And he steals third with two out. (Barely!) Is this no longer taboo?
  20. Two out double for David in the first. Fly ball lands just fair in left field.
  21. Reds go easily in the first, one-two-three.
  22. I'd love to know if it was the UMDB scorecards that inspired SNY to use the little-known "Hand of Sean" font for their on-screen lineup cards.
