I'm assuming that the 25 points Ashie awarded to Omar Quintanilla was intended to be .25 points.

Most of the people who would vote for him probably want to turn the clock back to 1848, so his whiskers may have wisdom. -
I still haven't found any news report confirming this.

What is it about his mind that BA finds so offensive?

UMDB hit leader yesterday. I guess this explains why.

I realize that Savannah hasn't been in the Mets organization for all that long, but so far only eight Sand Gnats have become Mets, and only one of them, Josh Thole, has been a key player for the big league club. Sand Gnats who became Mets The picture may look different in a few years, but this at least is why I have the impression that Savannah is more of a detour than part of the typical path to the big leagues.

I'm glad that our no-hitter wasn't one of those stupid six-pitcher varieties.

I wanted them to follow up their no-hitter with another one, but NOT LIKE THIS! I hope Howie's not being coy on the radio.

I may be wrong, but it seems like Savannah is a detour. The real prospects go from Brooklyn to St. Lucie. Those that go to Savannah are (mostly) the ones who are less likely to make the big leagues. I know that Wilmer Flores was in Savannah, but he may be an exception. Does anyone else see it this way? Or am I off-base?

I think I understand when one of these streaks ends, but I'm not clear on when it starts. Let's say you give up a two-out homer in the sixth inning, get the third out, and then pitch a scoreless seventh before leaving the game. You then throw a nine-inning shutout in your next start. At that point, is your streak at 10 innings, or 10 1/3?

I've never heard John Sterling or Michael Kay, and I don't think I've heard Suzyn Waldman's voice (other than that "goodness gracious" clip) in decades. What I do know, though, is that I don't want them polluting my Mets telecast. Let them stay in their YES booth. I don't need to hear them.

Most people applying for jobs also have the right to negotiate with more than one potential employer. Even though most of these players will never reach the big leagues, they are the best of the best; the relatively few who were good enough to be drafted by a major league team. They earned their spot with their level of play in high school and college.
