  2. No matter how the next two seasons go, I'll always be a Curtis fan.
  3. Frayed Knot wrote: Noah is back on track with his pitch count (75 thru 5) after those early hard innings. I'd like to see him go as long as possible here tonight. It's his last game of the season (last start anyway) Not necessarily... He would pitch Game 7.

  5. Well, at least ONE more.
  6. I would have preferred Ventura to stay in for a while longer. That pop up by Wilmer was unfortunate.

Have him show up on CF's doorstep. Let's say the kids answer the door and say, "It's Baltimore Oriole legend and Hall of Famer Cal Ripken!" And Cal says, "Yes, kids, that's right! And I'm here to eat your daddy's asshole!" Has this happened yet? I've called on every connection I can think of.
  8. Come on now... Shutdown inning (s)

  10. This is potentially great news for Joe Dziemianowicz.
  11. I see why the Royals don't strike out. Umps don't call strike three. Are they blackmailing the umpires?
  12. That's a separate endeavor. This one is directly related to the highs and lows and ups and downs of the 2015 Mets season, which, we still hope, will end on a high.
  13. Not quite as appealing as Josefina Sola, but it's nice that he's a Mets fan. Maybe we should invite him here to reminisce about the Elmhurst Tanks.
  14. Well, you should have gotten yourself vaccinated.
  15. Yeah, Edgy! What have you got?
  16. If you combine it with eating Wheaties, then maybe it will!

(I didn't know that.) If that's the case, I identify with his other grandfather. (Which grandfather is the Jewish one, by the way?)
  18. Stick around after the World Series. Shortly after the Series ends I'll be introducing a new feature to the CPF which will, I think, provide a fun way for us to review the Mets 2015 season, go off on nutty conversational tangents, and perhaps most importantly, allow us to do one of the things we seem to love best: vote on stuff. And, hopefully, it will in some small way keep things from getting too dead around here once the games stop. (And no, this has nothing to do with Schaefer. That will be another off-season announcement.)
  19. You really don't have to change what you think will happen. No matter what you think, events will soon prove you right or wrong.
  20. How about me? I identified with Steven Matz' grandfather!
